Owens ended the 2024 season on injured reserve with an ankle injury suffered in Week 16. His high-level play on special teams last season has earned him an expanded role on defense, but to what degree remains to seen. Owens will miss the last two games of the season due to an ankle injury. The undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech will end the regular season with 11 tackles (seven solo) and one forced fumble across 12 games while playing solely on special teams. He could be activated off IR and play for the Commanders again, but only if Washington were to make it to the Super Bowl.
