Plumlee signed with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in late April and saw limited preseason action, playing in just one game and completing three of four pass attempts for 32 yards. Jacksonville has Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones as its two quarterbacks on the active roster, so Plumlee will work on the practice squad as the team's No. 3 QB. That role had previously looked to be reserved for E.J. Perry, who initially joined the team's practice squad Wednesday but was cut one day later.
