The Penn State product has yet to miss a game this season, recording 49 total tackles and three passes defensed, including one interception, over 10 appearances. If active Sunday, he'll likely operate as the team's top strong safety.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Full participant Thursday

Brisker (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday. Brisker missed practice Wednesday, but he's now ready to rock as the Bears prepare to host Pittsburgh on Sunday. • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Nursing shoulder injury

Brisker (shoulder) did not participate at practice Wednesday. Brisker dealt with a back issue during Week 11 prep before ultimately being cleared to play at Minnesota, but now he's back on the injury report with a different problem. He'll likely need to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to give himself a chance to suit up in Week 12 versus the Steelers.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Three tackles in Week 11 victory

Brisker posted three tackles (two solo) during the Bears' 19-17 win over the Vikings on Sunday. Brisker was cleared to play in Sunday's NFC North clash after his practice reps during Week 11 prep were limited due to a back issue. It didn't appear to bother him all that much as he was on the field for 54 of 55 defensive snaps (98.2 percent), though it was the first time this season that he did not play every single defensive snap in a game. The fourth-year safety is up to 49 tackles (29 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three pass defenses (one interception) through 10 regular-season games.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Able to play Week 11

Brisker (back) is active for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota. Brisker missed Chicago's first two practices this week due to a back issue, but he was able to log a limited session Friday. That appears to be enough for the Penn State product to avoid missing his first game this season. Brisker has played every defensive snap for the Bears so far, and he'll look to keep that streak alive in a big game against the Vikings.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Questionable for Week 11

Brisker (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Vikings. Brisker upgraded from DNPs both Wednesday and Thursday to a limited session Friday, giving himself a chance to suit up for the Week 11 divisional matchup. The Penn State product has played in all nine of the Bears' games this season, recording 46 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and three passes defended. • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: DNP due to quad injury

Brisker (quadriceps) did not practice Thursday. It's a new injury for Brisker, who is making his first appearance on the injury report this season. Brisker has logged 100 percent of the defensive snaps through four games, so it's possible he was injured in practice this week. Elijah Hicks and Jonathan Owens would be next up at safety if Brisker is unable to play against the Commanders on Monday night.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Tallies five tackles vs. Vikings

Brisker recorded five tackles (four solo) during Monday's 27-24 loss versus Minnesota. Brisker will probably have better days in the stat sheet this season, but his line was solid considering the Vikings only ran 49 snaps on offense in Week 1. He figures to see a healthy number of opportunities to stop the run when the Bears travel to take on Detroit in Week 2.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Misses 12 games with concussion

Brisker went on injured reserve after suffering a concussion in Week 5. Brisker will hopefully regain full health, and if he returns to action in 2025, he'll go into the last year of his rookie contract coming off of a five-game season in which he posted 40 tackles (23 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one interception, an additional pass defensed and a forced fumble.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Could miss rest of 2024 season

General manager Ryan Poles relayed Sunday that Brisker (concussion) "wasn't making the progress we wanted," which is what caused the Bears to place the third-year safety on injured reserve Saturday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Prior to being placed on IR, Brisker had already missed the Bears' previous four games due to a concussion he suffered in Week 5 against the Panthers. The 2022 second-round pick has evidently struggled to go through the league's five-step concussion protocols, and even though the earliest he could return from IR would be Week 15 against the Vikings on Monday, Dec. 16, Poles noted that the Bears are, "Going to slow...and allow[ing] [Brisker] to take his time to come back. Would love to see him back this year, but we're just going to take it one week at a time." If he is in fact sidelined for the rest of the 2024 regular season, Brisker will finish with 40 tackles (23 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two pass defenses (including one interception) and one forced fumble across five games.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Unlikely to play this week

Brisker is not expected to clear the five-step concussion protocol before Sunday's game against the Patriots, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Brisker last played Week 5, and he hasn't made enough progress in his recovery from the concussion at this point to put himself on track to play Week 10. Elijah Hicks would likely be in store for another expanded role at safety if Brisker misses his fourth straight game Sunday.

Brisker (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals. Brisker was unable to practice all week and is now in line to miss his third consecutive game due to a concussion sustained in the Bears' Week 5 win over the Panthers. Elijah Hicks is expected to continue serving as Chicago's top strong safety until Brisker can pass through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Remains in protocols

Brisker (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports. Brisker has been sidelined since he began suffering from concussion symptoms the Monday after their Week 5 win over the Panthers. It's not clear if the Penn State product is making much progress in his recovery, but he'll need to show he can practice and be cleared by an independent neurologist before returning to action. Considering the situation, he may be on the wrong side of questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Even still, if he can't practice Thursday or Friday, it's not likely that he'll suit up in Week 8.
