  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Little impact in win

Whittington secured his only target for nine yards and returned two kicks for 48 yards during Sunday's 21-19 victory against the Seahawks. The second-year pro saw the field often with Tutu Atwell (hamstring) still on IR and Xavier Smith (concussion) leaving the contest in the first half. The additional playing time didn't amount to anything significant on the stat sheet, although his lone catch was his first since Week 7. With the Buccaneers up next in Week 12, Whittington may be pressed into a bigger role if Smith is unable to clear the concussion protocol, as Atwell won't be available to return until the following week against the Panthers at the earliest. The offense still primarily runs through Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (16 targets out of 25 passing attempts), however, making it difficult to trust Whittington in fantasy lineups.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Full participant Thursday

Whittington (back) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. The kickoff returner and wide receiver was limited during Wednesday's session. Whittington played through the injury last Sunday against the 49ers, logging seven offensive snaps and 14 special-teams snaps. In 2025, he has 12 catches for 121 yards, along with 109 kickoff-return yards.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Limited Wednesday

Whittington (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Whittington played through the back issue last Sunday against the 49ers, but he played just seven offensive snaps and appears to have fallen behind both Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield on the depth chart behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (oblique).

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Usage deteriorates again

Whittington didn't record a target during Sunday's 42-26 victory against the 49ers. Whittington was on the field for a season-low seven snaps on offense, which may have been partially due to a back injury that held him out of practice for part of the week. Fellow backups Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield played nearly the same amount of time as starters Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (oblique). With Nacua and Adams still dominating the attention of Matthew Stafford on Sunday while generating a combined 11-141-2 stat line, it's difficult to rely on any other receiver for the Rams when the star duo is healthy. A game with massive ramifications for the NFC West is up next on the docket, as the Rams host the Seahawks in Week 11.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Active Sunday

Whittington (back) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers. After missing practice Wednesday and Thursday, Whittington logged a limited session Friday before being listed as questionable for Sunday's contest. With his Week 10 availability confirmed, Whittington will continue to work behind the Rams' clear-cut top WRs, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. In that role, Whittington has recorded a 12/121/0 receiving line on 17 targets in eight games, a pace that keeps him off the fantasy radar in most formats.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice again

Whittington (back) did not participate in practice for the second day in a row Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. The kick returner and wide receiver will have one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's matchup with the 49ers. Whittington has 12 catches for 121 yards and 109 kickoff-return yards on the year. If Whittington ultimately sits out Sunday, Blake Corum might be next in line to handle kickoff-return duties.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice Wednesday

Whittington (back) was a non-participant at practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Whittington popped up on the injury report with an apparent back injury to open the week. The wide receiver failed to garner a target in the team's 34-10 win over the Saints in Week 9, potentially getting hurt during the game. He'll have two more chances to return to practice prior to Sunday's contest against the 49ers.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Uninvolved in victory

Whittington failed to record a target during Sunday's 34-10 victory against the Saints. Even with Puka Nacua (chest) missing a portion of the contest with injury and Tutu Atwell (hamstring) on IR, Whittington found himself blanked on the stat sheet for the first time since Week 1. Matthew Stafford once again had a monster game, with four more touchdowns and 281 yards through the air, so the volume for the receiving corps is there. If Nacua misses any time with his rib injury, Whittington would be a primary beneficiary, although he has yet to eclipse 42 yards receiving in a game and is still seeking his first touchdown on the season.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Makes pair of catches

Whittington secured two of four targets for nine yards during Sunday's 35-7 victory against the Jaguars in London. The second-year pro actually led all Rams wideouts in snaps played in the London contest, taking the field for 41 out of 70 snaps. Whittington wasn't able to do much with that usage, however, as Davante Adams, Terrance Ferguson and Konata Mumpfield were the targets of Matthew Stafford's five passing touchdowns on the day, with Adams garnering three by himself. Whittington hasn't hit the next level in terms of production through seven games, with a meager 12-121-0 stat line as the Rams enter their bye week. He'll look to get back on track in Week 9 in a home contest against the Saints.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Season-high three catches

Whittington secured three of four targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 17-3 victory against the Ravens. In the wake of Puka Nacua (ankle) missing a considerable portion of the contest due to an ankle sprain, it was the second-year pro Whittington who saw the biggest uptick in play time, leading all Rams wide receivers with 49 snaps on offense. The expanded stint on the field led to only a small uptick in Whittington's stat line, although he did set season highs in catches and targets. If Nacua were to miss any time with his injury, it appears as though Whittington is most likely to step in alongside Davante Adams and assume a larger role, especially if Tutu Atwell (hamstring) isn't 100 percent next week against the Jaguars.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Does little with four touches

Whittington secured two of three targets for seven yards and rushed twice for seven yards during Sunday's 33-26 loss to the Eagles. Once again operating as the tertiary option at wideout, Whittington found little room to run when presented with opportunities and was unable to replicate the huge 40-yard catch from last week against the Titans. On the field for exactly half of the Rams' snaps on offense, Whittington seems to have secured his hold as the No. 3 wideout for the Rams, a role that is unlikely to hold much fantasy appeal given the dominance Puka Nacua and Davante Adams have in target share; 23 of Matthew Stafford's 33 pass attempts were targeted to the duo.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Earns 11 snaps on offense

Whittington secured his only target for 12 yards during Sunday's 28-22 divisional round loss to the Eagles. Notably, Whittington easily outpaced fellow backup Tutu Atwell, who only recorded two snaps on offense, in playing time. The sixth-round rookie carved out a small role on offense in the 2024 campaign, putting up a 22-293-0 receiving line while tacking on a pair of rushing attempts for 12 yards. Whittington's role may increase in 2025, as both Demarcus Robinson and the aforementioned Atwell are unrestricted free agents, and Whittington's production when pressed into the starting lineup was solid, including seven catches for 89 yards in a Week 5 loss to Green Bay.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Cleared to play Sunday

Whittington (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Whittington was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but logged a full session Friday and is good to go for Sunday's regular-season finale. With Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp unlikely to play and resting up for the playoffs next weekend, Whittington should see an elevated offensive role alongside fellow WRs Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell and Tyler Johnson. They will be catching passes from Jimmy Garoppolo.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Ready to go for TNF

Whittington (shoulder) is active for Thursday night's contest against the 49ers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports. Whittington was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, but he now appears to be all set for Thursday's contest. The wide receiver will likely operate as the team's primary kick returner again in Week 15.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice with shoulder issue

Whittington (shoulder) did not practice Tuesday. Whittington also missed Monday's practice session due to his shoulder injury. The rookie sixth-round pick hasn't logged a target in any of his last six appearances, but he has played a notable role as a kick returner. Wednesday's final practice report of Week 15 will reveal whether Whittington has a chance of suiting up for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Gets light usage as returner

Whittington returned one kick for 24 yards and failed to record a target during Sunday's 28-22 win against the Patriots. Whittington's role since the return of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp has been non-existent, and he hasn't managed a catch since Week 5. The sixth-round rookie's role seems to be focused on special teams at the moment (16 snaps on special teams versus five snaps on offense Sunday), and he'll continue to compete with Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith for a meager amount of snaps as the backups to Nacua, Kupp and Demarcus Robinson.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Sitting out again Sunday

Whittington (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game at Seattle, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Whittington thus is missing a second straight contest due to a shoulder injury, but he was able to practice in a limited capacity in all three Week 9 practices, indicating he's drawing closer to a return to action. With Whittington sidelined, Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith will be the tertiary wide receivers behind the top duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Not playing Thursday

Whittington (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Vikings, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Whittington earned some sway in a Rams passing game missing Puka Nacua (knee) since Week 1 and Cooper Kupp (ankle) since Week 2, culminating with 13 combined catches (on 18 targets) for 151 yards between Weeks 4 and 5. However, Whittington emerged from a Week 5 loss to the Packers with a shoulder injury, and even with the benefit of a Week 6 bye, he handled just nine offensive snaps and wasn't targeted this past Sunday versus the Raiders. Now that Whittington is out Week 8, Kupp will be available, Nacua is listed as questionable but remains on injured reserve, and Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Smith all are healthy, which may not leave much work for Whittington once he gets healthy.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Trending toward playing

Whittington (shoulder) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Whittington was a limited participant in practice throughout the week while he managed the shoulder issue, but he looks like he'll be able to play through the injury concern. He'll likely have a prominent role in the passing attack waiting for him, as No. 1 wideout Cooper Kupp (ankle) is questionable but is seemingly trending toward sitting out a fourth straight game Sunday, per Schefter. During Kupp's absence in the Rams' last two games, Whittington emerged as quarterback Matt Stafford's go-to option. The rookie out of Texas racked up 18 targets between those two contests and produced a 13-151-0 receiving line.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Listed as questionable

Whittington (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Whittington and Cooper Kupp (ankle) both are listed as questionable after being limited practice participants Wednesday through Friday, with head coach Sean McVay saying Friday that Whittington is expected to play but Kupp may come down to a game-time decision. Whittington drew 18 targets in the final two games before a Week 6 bye, handling a near-every-down role alongside wideouts Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell. Kupp's return would obviously complicate things, at least in terms of projected target volume if not automatically playing time.
