Knight was a limited participant at Wednesday's walkthrough due to a knee injury, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
While Michael Carter started this past Sunday's loss at Indianapolis, Knight actually logged more offensive snaps (37-32) and touches (12-11), with the former gaining more yards from scrimmage (64-54) and the latter getting into the end zone once. With a health concern now in tow, though, Knight's status will be watched as the week goes on to see if the scales may tip toward Carter as Arizona continues with a backfield committee in the absences of James Conner (foot, IR) and Trey Benson (knee, IR).
Knight's takeover of the Cardinals' backfield wasn't quite as impressive as Vidal's. Michael Carter is still involved and could be the better option against the Packers this week if he continues to see more targets than Knight. But Knight is the clear goal-line back, and I wouldn't be surprised if his rush share goes up again this week. Consider him a flex in Week 7, but he could be a Fantasy starter in Week 9 against the Cowboys.

Cardinals' Zonovan Knight: Week 7 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
We found out Sunday morning that Knight was headed for more work ahead of Michael Carter for the Cardinals, and that's what happened against the Colts in Week 6. Knight played 37 percent of the snaps compared to 32 for Carter, and Knight finished with 11 carries for 34 yards and a touchdown and one catch for 20 yards on two targets, while Carter had nine carries for 34 yards and two catches for 30 yards on five targets. Trey Benson (knee) is eligible to return in Week 10, and Knight might be the top Cardinals running back until then. He'll be a flex option at best in Week 7 against Green Bay, but Knight is worth adding in all leagues for at least 15 percent of your remaining FAB.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Gets into end zone Sunday
Rotowire
Knight rushed 11 times for 34 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of two targets for 20 yards in the Cardinals' 31-27 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Knight went into the game set for lead-back duties, but he outpaced backfield mate Michael Carter by only two carries when all was said and done. Knight did record a one-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter and had a nice gain on his one reception, but it's likely the two backs continue in a close timeshare during a Week 7 home matchup against a talented Packers defense.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: In line for bigger role
Rotowire
Knight is expected to take on a bigger workload out of the Cardinals backfield Sunday at Indianapolis, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
In the absences of James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) last Sunday against the Titans, Knight was third in the RB rotation behind Michael Carter and Emari Demercado, but Schefter specifically noted that Knight is in line to work in front of Carter in Week 6. Carter recorded 23 touches on a 73 percent snap share Week 5, while Demercado (three touches, 28 percent) and Knight (five touches, 16 percent) were well behind him. If Knight supplants Carter at the top of the depth chart, the former would be slated for significant increases in both touches and snaps.

Cardinals' Bam Knight: Won't play Week 1
Rotowire
Knight (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Knight will not suit up Week 1, as the Cardinals will roll with a three-man backfield of James Conner, Trey Benson and Emari Demercado. Knight has not played in a regular-season game since 2023 with the Lions, and his next opportunity to see the field is Week 2 against the Panthers on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Zonovan Knight: Dropped by Detroit
Rotowire
Knight was waived by the Lions on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Knight is headed to waivers after rushing the ball three times for 13 yards in two games for Detroit last season. With Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) and Craig Reynolds (leg) both dealing with injuries, Knight could land on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Lions' Zonovan Knight: Recovery going well
Rotowire
Knight (shoulder) has been a limited participant in Lions' OTAs, Dave Birkett of The Detroit Free Press reports.
Knight sustained a torn labrum and missed the Lions' final 12 games in 2023, but he's been cleared for seven-on-seven and light team work as of last week. The 23-year-old running back has also been ramping up his workload in hopes of returning for Detroit's mandatory minicamp. Once Knight is back at full health, he's expected to compete for a depth spot in the Lions' backfield ahead of the 2024 season.

Lions' Zonovan Knight: Moved to IR
Rotowire
The Lions placed Knight (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Friday that the shoulder injury that Knight sustained in Week 5 against the Seahawks was season-ending. He joined the Lions on Sept. 20 after being waived by the Jets at the end of training camp. Knight played two games this season and registered 21 yards on four touches.

Lions' Zonovan Knight: Still not practicing Thursday
Rotowire
Knight (shoulder) did not participate at practice Thursday.
Knight has now sat out of consecutive practices to begin the week, casting a heavy shadow of doubt over his availability for Sunday at Tampa Bay. Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) also missed a second straight practice Thursday, leaving Craig Reynolds as Detroit's only fully healthy backup at running back to David Montgomery heading into Week 6.

Zonovan Knight: Joins Lions' practice squad
Rotowire
Knight signed with Detroit's practice squad Thursday, Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports.
Knight failed to make the Jets' 53-man roster out of training camp, and rather than sticking around with New York as a member of the practice, he took the opportunity to join an organization with less running back depth. The only two running backs on Detroit's 53-man roster roster are Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, so Knight may be just one injury away from being called up from the practice squad, much like he was down the stretch for the Jets as a rookie in 2022. He appeared in seven games for the Jets last season, carrying 85 times for 300 yards and a touchdown and recording 13 catches for 100 yards.

Zonovan Knight: Cut loose by Jets
Rotowire
The Jets are waiving Knight on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Knight stuck with the team as an undrafted rookie last year and eventually made four starts, but he tumbled down the depth chart this offseason behind Breece Hall (knee), Dalvin Cook and Michael Carter. The Jets seemingly plan to keep fifth-round rookie Israel Abanikanda as their No. 4 RB.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Serves as main back Saturday
Rotowire
Knight rushed eight times for 33 yards and brought in three of four targets for 20 yards in the Jets' 13-6 preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday night. He also returned one kickoff for 23 yards and lost a fumble.
Dalvin Cook (shoulder), Breece Hall (knee) and Michael Carter were all given the night off, while Israel Abanikanda (thigh) suffered an in-game injury, all adding up to a busy night for Knight. The second-year back was reasonably productive on a per-touch basis, but his early second-quarter fumble did lead to a Buccaneers field goal. Knight is presumably battling Abanikanda for the No. 4 running back role, and he could well have sealed that job partly by default due the rookie's injury.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Outplayed by Carter and Abanikanda
Rotowire
Knight rushed four times for 13 yards and caught one of two targets for three yards in Saturday's 27-0 preseason win over the Panthers.
Knight was almost charged with a fumble at the end of a three-yard catch on New York's opening drive, but he was ruled down on replay. He and Michael Carter both mixed in on New York's first two drives, but Carter was far more effective, with 53 scrimmage yards on six touches. Rookie fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda played the majority of the game after that point and impressed with 87 yards between 12 carries and three catches. The Jets may keep only one of Knight or Abanikanda on the 53-man roster behind Breece Hall (knee) and Carter, though all four running backs could make the team if Hall's recovery from ACL surgery threatens to impact his regular-season availability.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Listed ahead of Abanikanda
Rotowire
Knight is listed second on the Jets' first preseason running back depth chart behind Michael Carter, Eric Allen of the team's official site reports.
Breece Hall (knee) isn't listed since he's still recovering from a torn ACL, but he's the presumed No. 1 option when healthy. It's noteworthy that Knight is ahead of rookie fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda. As long as he stays ahead of Abanikanda, Knight will be in good position to secure a roster spot, barring the Jets shaking things up by signing a veteran such as Dalvin Cook.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Healthy for start of camp
Rotowire
Knight (undisclosed) is participating in training camp, Eric Allen and Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site report.
Knight missed most of OTAs due to an undisclosed injury, but he has healed up for the beginning of training camp. He rotated in on kick returns, as did fellow running backs Michael Carter and Travis Dye. The Jets also have Breece Hall (knee) -- who opened training camp on the PUP list -- and rookie fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda in the backfield, so Knight will need a strong performance in training camp and preseason to secure a roster spot after appearing in seven games with the Jets as a rookie in 2022.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Battling injury in OTAs
Rotowire
Knight (undisclosed) has been banged up at OTAs and has mostly been working off to the side, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
The exact nature of Knight's injury hasn't been revealed, but he can ill afford to miss extensive time once training camp kicks off, as Knight will be battling for one of the final roster spots on the team. Heading into his second NFL season, Knight currently looks like the fourth running back on the Jets' depth chart behind Breece Hall (knee), Michael Carter and rookie fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Sleepers (Start/Sit)
Rotowire
It's risky to trust Knight again given his production the past two games against Detroit and Jacksonville when he combined for just four PPR points, but that was with Zach Wilson under center. With Mike White back, the Bam Knight party should get back on track. In three games with White, Knight scored at least 12 PPR points, including two games with at least 100 total yards and three catches. He'll share touches with Michael Carter, but this is a great matchup for the Jets in Week 17 at Seattle. The Seahawks are No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and Seattle has allowed nine total touchdowns to the position in the past five games. With White at quarterback, I'm trusting Knight as a flex option again in all leagues.

Jets' Zonovan Knight: Active for Thursday's game
Rotowire
Knight (ankle) is listed as active for Thursday night's game against the Jaguars.
Though Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site noted earlier in the week that Knight came out of a Week 15 loss to Detroit with an ankle issue, the running back wasn't listed on the team's first two Week 16 injury reports, before being listed as a full practice participant Wednesday and questionable for Thursday's contest. With Knight's active status confirmed, look for the 5-foot-10, 209-pounder to lead New York's ground game versus Jacksonville, with Michael Carter mixing in and Ty Johnson on hand in reserve.
