Alex Myres: Moves to injured list
The Lions placed Myres on the practice squad injured list Tuesday.
Myres made his NFL debut in Week 15 against the Texans, posting five solo tackles and a pass breakup over 28 defensive snaps. It's unclear what type of injury he's dealing with. With the Lions out of the playoff race, Myres won't return this season.

Pittsburgh waived Myres (groin) on Sunday, per the league's official transactions report.
The Steelers waived Myers without an injury designation, indicating that he's now healthy. The Houston product will work to earn another chance elsewhere in the league.

Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Myres is being evaluated for a groin injury, Missi Matthews of the Steelers' official site reports.
Myres is looking to carve out a depth or special-teams role in Pittsburgh's secondary. He has yet to make his NFL debut since going undrafted out of Houston in 2019.

Myres signed a futures contract with the Steelers on Monday, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
