  • Titans' Joey Slye: Won't kick for Titans on Sunday

Slye (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. With Slye sidelined, fellow kicker Matthew Wright is slated to be elevated from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's contest. Slye's next chance to see game action will arrive Sunday, Oct. 19 against the Patriots.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: DNP again with calf injury

Slye (calf) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. It's Slye's first week on the injury report this season, and back-to-back DNPs certainly puts his status for Week 6 against the Raiders in question. Matthew Wright was recently signed to the Titans' practice squad as insurance.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Absent for second straight practice

Slye (calf) didn't practice Thursday. He'll miss out on a second straight practice while he tends to a right calf injury. The Titans signed Matthew Wright to their practice squad Wednesday, and he'll presumably be elevated in the event Slye isn't able to handle kicking duties in Sunday's game against the Raiders.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Misses practice Wednesday

Slye didn't practice Wednesday due to a right calf injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Slye made all three of his field-goal attempts and went 1-for-2 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 22-21 win over the Cardinals, but with an absence from practice to start the current week, the kicker's status is worth monitoring ahead of this weekend's game against the Raiders. If Slye is unavailable versus Las Vegas, Matthew Wright is a candidate for a practice-squad elevation.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Hits every field goal Sunday

Slye went 3-for-3 on field goals and 1-for-2 on extra points in Sunday's 22-21 win over the Cardinals. Slye made field goals from 44, 51 and 29 yards, respectively. The kicker connected on just 2-of-6 field-goal attempts in the previous two games. At the moment, he's a somewhat unreliable kicker on a low-scoring team.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Misses both kicks vs. Houston

Slye went 0-for-2 on his field-goal attempts during the Titans' 26-0 loss to the Texans. Very little went right for the Titans' offense Sunday, but Slye wasn't able to get Tennessee on the board after missing field-goal attempts from 41 and 43 yards in the first and second quarter, respectively. Slye started the season 8-for-8 on field goals but has gone just 2-for-6 over the last two games. Slye and the Titans will look to turn things around in their Week 5 road clash against the Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 5.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Connects on four FGAs in loss

Slye went 4-for-4 on field-goal attempts and also made an extra-point try in Sunday's 33-19 loss to the Rams. Slye was once again rather busy in Week 2, connecting on a 55-yard field goal and 37-yarder in the second quarter. He later added makes from 57 yards and 35 yards in the second half. Through two games in 2025, Slye has made all eight of his field-goal tries, including five makes from 50-plus yards.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Catches on with Tennessee

Slye agreed to a contract with the Titans on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The well-traveled Slye will catch on with an eighth different organization since going undrafted out of Virginia Tech in 2018. After being cut by the Jaguars last spring, Slye quickly caught on with New England on a one-year deal and emerged as the victor over Chad Ryland in the battle for kicking duties during training camp and the preseason. Slye proceeded to play in all 17 of New England's games in 2024, converting 26 of 33 field-goal attempts and 25 of 26 extra-point tries. The 28-year-old currently is the only kicker on the Titans roster, but the team will almost certainly add some competition before training camp.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Finishes 2024 strong

Slye made all three of his field-goal tries and both of his extra-point attempts during the Patriots' 23-16 win over the Bills on Sunday. Slye hadn't attempted a field goal in the Patriots' last two games entering Week 18, but he was kept busy Sunday as backup quarterback Joe Milton led New England on five scoring drives. All three of Slye's field-goal attempts came in the second half, with his 43 and 50-yard field goals in the fourth quarter extending the Patriots' lead. Slye will finish the 2024 regular season having made 26 of 33 field-goal attempts (78.8 percent) and 25 of 26 extra-point tries. He signed a one-year deal with the Patriots in May of 2024 and will enter the offseason as a free agent.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Makes lone extra-point attempt

Slye converted on his lone extra-point try during the Patriots' 40-7 loss to the Chargers on Saturday. It was another quiet day for Slye as the Patriots' offense struggled to move the ball down the field and was limited to 181 yards against a stout Chargers defense. Slye hasn't attempted a field goal over his last two games, and through 16 regular-season games he's gone 23-for-30 on field-goal attempts and 23-for-24 on extra-point tries.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Limited to extra points

Slye converted all three of his extra-point attempts in New England's 24-21 loss to Buffalo on Sunday. Slye did not attempt a field goal Sunday for just the second time this season as all three of the Patriots' scoring drives resulted in touchdowns. Slye was a fairly accurate kicker through the first 11 games of the regular season, going 19-for-22 on field-goal attempts and 15-for-16 on extra-point tries over that span. He's made all seven of his extra-point attempts in his last four games, but across that span he's also gone 4-for-8 on field-goal attempts, with two of those misses coming from within 50 yards. Slye and the Patriots head back to New England for Week 17 to host the Chargers on Saturday.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Misses two FGAs in loss

Slye went 3-for-5 on field-goal tries while making his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Colts. Slye began his day with three straight field-goal makes from 35 yards, 31 yards and 54 yards versus Indianapolis. He then missed a chip-shot 25-yarder on the team's final possession of the first half before later missing a nearly impossible 68-yard attempt to end the game. The kicker has now made 22 of 28 field-goal tries while going 17-for-18 on PATs in 2024.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Hits three field goals in loss

Slye went 3-for-3 on field-goal tries and made one of two PATs in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Rams. Slye made multiple field goals for the second straight week after going five straight weeks without doing so prior. His longest make of the day came from 42 yards, while he did miss an extra-point attempt for the first time this year. Through 11 contests, the kicker has gone 19-for-22 on field-goal attempts and 15-for-16 on PATs.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Misses valuable opportunity Sunday

Slye made one of his two field-goal tries and converted both of his two extra-point attempts during Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss at Tennessee. Both of Slye's field-goal tries in Week 9 came from longer than 50 yards out, a tough ask for any kicker. But after such a close loss, the Patriots will probably look back on the 56-yarder he missed in the first quarter as a squandered opportunity. New England's struggling offense will get another stiff test in Week 10 at Chicago.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Quiet day in Week 8 win

Slye made his only field-goal attempt and converted on both extra-point tries in Sunday's 25-22 win over the Jets. Slye was successful on a 23-yard chip shot in the fourth quarter, which gave the Patriots a one-point lead with 7:36 left to play in the game. Slye is now 11-for-13 on field-goal attempts and 11-for-11 on extra-point tries through the first seven games of the regular season.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Not heavily involved in loss

Slye made his only field-goal try and converted his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars. Slye's 41-yarder early in the second quarter put the Patriots up 10-0, but momentum quickly swung in Jacksonville's favor afterwards, leaving Slye without any further scoring chances. Though New England's office has improved since Drake Maye took over as starter, it remains one of the worst in the league by many metrics so far this season, rendering Slye non-viable in most fantasy formats.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Not a big factor Sunday

Slye made all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 41-21 loss versus the Texans. Slye did not attempt any field-goal attempts for the first time this season. However, New England looked improved on offense with rookie Drake Maye under center, and if that's sustained, it could provide a boost to Slye's fantasy value in the long run.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Nails long field goal

Slye made his lone extra-point try and both of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the 49ers. Slye's performance came in a losing effort, but it was impressive nonetheless. Before making a 54-yard attempt in the fourth quarter, the Virginia Tech product successfully hit a 63-yard try going into halftime, a kick that qualifies as the fourth-longest made field goal in NFL history and the second-longest field goal in an outdoor setting.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Converts only FG attempt Week 3

Slye made his only field-goal try and didn't attempt any extra points in last Thursday's Week 3 loss to the Jets. Slye accounted for New England's only points in the defeat with a 44-yard field goal in the second quarter. The veteran kicker has gone 6-for-7 in field-goal tries through three weeks, with his only miss being a 48-yard attempt that was blocked. Though the Patriots are averaging only 13.0 points this season, Slye has managed to maintain moderate productivity since the team has struggled to score TDs when managing to get into the red zone.

  • Patriots' Joey Slye: Misses one in loss

Slye made both of his extra-point tries but missed one of three field-goal attempts in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Seahawks. Slye hit early from 29 and 28 yards, respectively. However, with the Patriots leading 20-17 and four minutes to go in the game, he had a 48-yard attempt blocked, keeping the Seahawks within a field goal. Jason Myers kicked a field goal for Seattle with less than a minute to go, and New England ultimately lost in overtime. Slye and the Patriots will travel to New York for Week 3 with a game against the Jets on Thursday.
