Through Green Bay's first five games this season, Walker has recorded a team-leading 50 total tackles and two passes defended while playing 100 percent of the defensive snaps. He's expected to remain a viable IDP option when the Packers face the Cardinals in Week 7.

He's expected to remain one of the league's top tacklers in Week 4, when the Packers travel to Dallas.

Walker finished Thursday's 27-18 win over Washington with eight tackles (four solo). Walker popped up on Tuesday's estimated injury report due to a quad issue. The 2022 first-rounder was given the green light to play Thursday and played all 69 defensive snaps, finishing with the second most tackles behind Edgerrin Cooper (10). • Packers' Quay Walker: Ready to go for TNF

Walker (quadriceps) does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's contest against the Commanders, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official website reports. Walker popped up on the estimated injury report to open the week with a quadriceps issue, but he was a full participant Wednesday, clearing any concern about his availability for Week 2. The linebacker recorded nine total tackles (six solo) and a pass defensed in Week 1 against Detroit, and he'll look to keep it up versus Washington.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Fifth-year option declined by team

Walker had his fifth-year option declined by the Packers on Thursday, though the team still wants to work out an extension, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports. The 2022 first-round pick has recorded 121 (75 solo), 118 (59 solo) and 102 (72 solo) tackles across his three pro regular seasons, respectively, leading Green Bay in the category each year. Walker did miss seven combined games due to injuries the last two seasons, including three with an ankle issue and one with a concussion in 2024. Despite those injuries, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst called Walker "really impactful," "a great leader" and a player the team "would love to have" around "for longer than just a couple years," per Demovsky.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Returns to practice

Walker (ankle) was a limited participant during practice Wednesday, Bill Huber of SI.com reports. Walker had yet to practice since suffering the injury in Week 15, so his return to the field in any capacity is a big step in the right direction. Head coach Matt LaFleur stated Monday that he was optimistic Walker could suit up Sunday against the Eagles, and he may now be on track to do so. Walker's practice status in the days ahead will still be worth monitoring though.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: DNP on Thursday

Walker (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Walker has been unable to practice or play since suffering an ankle injury during the Packers' Week 15 win against the Seahawks. The 2022 first-round pick won't likely play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bears unless he practices in at least a limited capacity Friday. Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson will continue to see increased snaps with the first-team defense for as long as Walker is sidelined.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Missing another week

Walker (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Vikings, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. The 2022 first-round pick from Georgia has yet to practice since sustaining an ankle injury in the Packers' Week 15 win over the Seahawks, making it no surprise that he won't return for the Week 17 divisional matchup. Walker's next opportunity to suit up will come in Week 18, when the Packers host the Bears. Expect Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson to see additional snaps with Green Bay's first-team defense while Walker is sidelined Sunday.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Won't play Week 16

Walker (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Saints. Walker exited with an ankle injury during last Sunday's win against the Seahawks, and he logged three straight DNPs during Week 16 prep. Over 13 appearances this season, the third-year linebacker has already logged over 100 tackles, marking his third straight season doing so. With Walker sidelined, veteran Eric Wilson will likely step up as Green Bay's defensive play caller alongside fellow off-ball linebackers Edgerrin Cooper and Isaiah McDuffie.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Unable to practice Thursday

Walker (ankle) is not practicing Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. The Packers have left the door open for Walker to suit up Monday against the Saints, but he may be fighting an uphill battle after coach Matt LaFleur referred to his injury as "more of a week-to-week type deal." Walker will have two more chances to practice heading into Week 16 action.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Not ruled out for Week 16

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Walker (ankle) has a chance to be available for Monday's game against the Saints but called the situation "more of a week-to-week type deal," Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. LaFleur said Green Bay "will give [Walker] through the week and see where he's at," but it sounds like the ankle injury sustained by the 2022 first-round pick in the first half of Sunday's win over Seattle could keep him sidelined Week 16. In the event that Walker is unavailable versus New Orleans on Monday, Eric Wilson and rookie fourth-round pick Ty'Ron Hopper could see increased defensive opportunities in the Packers' linebacker corps.

Walker posted 10 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Thursday's Thanksgiving Day victory against the Dolphins. Walker tied for the team lead in stops Thursday, with two of his tackles going for a Miami loss of yardage. One of those was a fourth-down sack of Tua Tagovailoa early in the fourth period that ended a Miami drive that had reached the Packers' one-yard line. Walker has 89 tackles (including 2.5 sacks) on the season, putting him 11 stops away from reaching 100 for the third straight season.

Walker recorded 12 total tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions. The 2022 first-round pick from Georgia played well in his first game back from a concussion, leading the Packers' defense total tackles. Despite missing Week 8's win over the Jaguars, Walker still ranks first on Green Bay's defense in total tackles with 64 across eight appearances this season. He's expected to remain a viable IDP option after the Packers' Week 10 bye.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Questionable for Sunday

Walker (concussion) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Jaguars, Wes Hodklewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Walker was able to practice in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday; however, he must pass through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to suit up Sunday. If Walker is unable to do so, expect Eric Wilson to see increased work with the Packers' first-team defense.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Able to practice Thursday

Walker (concussion) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. Walker was able to upgrade from a DNP on Wednesday to a limited participant Thursday, but he still has more work to do as he progresses through the league's five-step concussion protocols. Even if he were to practice in full Friday, that doesn't guarantee that he'll be able to suit up against the Jaguars on Sunday.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Remains in concussion protocol

Walker (concussion) was listed as a non-participant at Wednesday's practice. Walker was diagnosed with a concussion following the Packers' win over the Texans on Sunday. He'll have two more chances to return to practice this week prior to Sunday's game against the Jaguars, but he'll also need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist before he's removed from the five-step concussion protocol.

  • Packers' Quay Walker: Enters concussion protocols

Walker is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Houston. Walker took a shot to the head in the second quarter of Sunday's contest, and he'll have to clear the league's concussion protocols in order to return. Ty'Ron Hopper should see snaps at outside linebacker opposite Isaiah McDuffie for as long as Walker is sidelined.
