Raiders' Brennan Jackson: Placed on injured reserve
The Raiders placed Jackson (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday.

Raiders' Brennan Jackson: Returns for minicamp

Jackson was sidelined for Las Vegas' final 13 games last season due to a foot injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Raiders' Brennan Jackson: Lands on IR
The Raiders placed Jackson on injured reserve Friday due to a foot injury.
Jackson saw his practice participation steadily decrease over the week, and his foot injury is severe enough for him to require a stint on injured reserve. He'll be forced to miss at least four games, making Week 10 against the Broncos on Thursday, Nov. 6 the earliest he can return. Jackson has logged three tackles (two solo) through three games while serving solely on special teams this season.

Jackson had been dealing with a soft tissue injury since early August, but he now appears to be a full go ahead of Week 1 after he wasn't included on Wednesday's initial injury report. The linebacker was selected in the fifth round (154th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft and he'll look to carve out a significant role with Los Angeles this season.

Rams' Brennan Jackson: Misses practice
Jackson has been sidelined for the Rams' last two practices due to a soft tissue injury, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
The severity of Jackson's injury is not known at this time, but it looks like Los Angeles is opting to err on the side of caution. The rookie was selected in the fifth round of this year's draft and is competing for a depth outside linebacker role on the 53-man roster. A return to practice sooner than later would be advantageous for his chances.

Rams' Brennan Jackson: Adds needed depth in LA
The Rams selected Jackson in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 154th overall.
The Rams have aggressively added to their defensive line in the draft, as Jackson marks the third player selected up front. Known for his pass-rushing abilities, Jackson tallied 20.0 sacks across four healthy seasons with Washington State -- including 8.5 in his senior campaign. While his collegiate production was excellent, Jackson is considered stiff in his movements and also had just a 25th-percentile wingspan. Despite those shortcomings, he'll almost certainly find the field immediately as a pass-rush specialist for the Rams.
