With Xavier Legette returning from injury and rookie Jimmy Horn making his first appearance of the season, Tremayne logged just 15 offensive snaps and operated as the Panthers' No. 5 wide receiver. He's now logged 121 offensive snaps and tallied 108 receiving yards on nine catches this year. Jalen Coker (quadriceps) could return as soon as the Week 6 matchup against the Cowboys, so Tremayne's role in the Panthers' offense could continue to shrink as the season progresses.

The Stanford product finished third on the Panthers in receiving yards Sunday, bringing his season total to five catches for 63 yards across three games. Tremayne ranked fourth amongst Carolina receivers in offensive snaps played (16), suggesting his role could diminish once Jalen Coker (quadriceps) returns from injured reserve. Tremayne played 16 snaps on offense in Sunday night's 30-24 win over the Falcons in overtime, failing to record any stats. The Commanders signed Tremayne to a reserve/future contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Tremayne joined the Commanders as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford this past offseason. He was initially waived as part of the team's final roster cuts at the end of August, but he re-upped with Washington via the practice squad one day later. Tremayne never made his NFL debut during the 2023 regular season, and he will now look to carve out a role on the Commanders' 53-man roster heading into the 2024 campaign.

Tremayne was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday but linked up with the team's practice squad a day later. The undrafted rookie logged 74 catches for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns over four collegiate seasons at Stanford.
