    The Falcons placed Vrabel on the reserve/retired list Monday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

    Vrabel was placed on the reserve list in order to clear room for the team to sign James Washington and Jesse Matthews. However, head coach Raheem Morris wouldn't elaborate on Vrabel's situation or his future with the team.

    Atlanta signed Vrabel (undisclosed) to a reserve/future contract Monday, John Deighton of the Falcons' official site reports.

    Vrabel missed nearly the entire 2022 season on the practice squad injured list due to an undisclosed injury. However it appears he's moved past the issue and will have a chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp.

    Vrabel landed on Atlanta's practice squad after being let go as part of the team's final roster cuts in late August. The undrafted rookie out of Boston College will now be ineligible for any practice-squad elevations until the team's Week 6 contest against San Francisco.
