  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Highly productive in Week 6 loss

McBride secured eight of 11 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' 31-27 loss to the Colts on Sunday. McBride finished as the Cardinals' leader in receptions and targets and checked in just behind Zay Jones in receiving yards while working with Jacoby Brissett as his quarterback in the absence of Kyler Murray (foot). The veteran tight end's reception and yardage totals also were new season highs, and his target tally tied a high-water mark he'd reached two games prior against the Seahawks. Despite the superior production and his second TD catch of the season, McBride's day ended in frustration when he didn't get a pass interference call in the end zone he felt was warranted on the Cardinals' final play of the contest, a pass that fell incomplete. With talk of a potential multi-game absence for Murray, McBride's evident chemistry with Brissett is encouraging heading into a daunting Week 7 home matchup against the Packers next Sunday afternoon.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Limited to 41 yards

McBride recorded five receptions on seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 22-21 loss to the Titans. The Cardinals' offense completely stalled in the second half, with Kyler Murray throwing for only 78 yards in the final two quarters. That led to a muted stat line for McBride, who still led the team in targets and was tied for the lead in receptions. However, his longest catch of the day went for only 12 yards, and he's now been held below 55 yards in each of his last three games.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Team-high catch total in loss

McBride secured seven of 11 targets for 52 yards in the Cardinals' 23-20 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night. McBride led the Cardinals in receptions and targets while finishing second to Marvin Harrison in receiving yards. The star tight end has topped out at a relatively modest 78 receiving yards over the first four games, but he hasn't recorded less than five catches or logged fewer than seven targets in any contest. McBride's production has been arguably capped to an extent by Kyler Murray's uneven play under center, yet the former could have a good opportunity for his first breakout game of 2025 when Arizona hosts the struggling Titans in a Week 5 interconference clash on Sunday, Oct. 5.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Hits pay dirt in loss Sunday

McBride had five receptions on eight targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-15 loss to San Francisco. McBride led all Cardinals in targets and receptions while hauling in Kyler Murray's only touchdown pass in Sunday's narrow loss. The 25-year-old McBride didn't waste much time cracking the end zone this season after needing 15 starts to catch his first touchdown in 2024. McBride is proving to be a consistent fantasy producer at the tight end position, carrying a 17-182-1 receiving line into a Week 4 matchup against the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Leading receiver on seven targets

McBride corralled six of seven targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Panthers. McBride finished as the Cardinals' leading receiver after ceding that honor to WR Marvin Harrison in Week 1. The 25-year-old McBride has racked up six receptions in each of his two starts so far, putting him on pace for another 100-plus reception season following last year's breakout 111-catch campaign. McBride's allergy to the end zone (career high of three TDs in 2023) is what holds him back from breaking the fantasy stratosphere. The Colorado State product is still a PPR monster and a TE1 play against the 49ers next Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Six grabs in Week 1 win

McBride caught six of nine targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Saints. He led the Cardinals in receptions, but it was Marvin Harrison who produced a team-high 71 receiving yards. McBride is coming off a massive 2024 campaign in which he posted a 111-1,146-2 line on 147 targets, and while a breakout season from Harrison could cut into the tight end's volume, Arizona's target tree figures to be narrow. McBride will look to stay productive at home in Week 2 against the Panthers.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Big gain on one reception

McBride brought in his only target for 21 yards during the Cardinals' 20-17 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday night. The talented tight end was on the receiving end of Kyler Murray's longest completion of the night, kickstarting Arizona's second drive. McBride, who signed a four-year, $76 million extension in April, is ticketed for another massive role again in 2025 after recording 111 receptions for 1,146 yards and two touchdowns across 16 regular-season contests last season.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Catches another touchdown

McBride brought in seven of 11 targets for 65 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 47-24 win versus the 49ers. After failing to reach the end zone via a pass in each of his first 14 appearances of the campaign, McBride capped the season with TD catches in back-to-back games. He also paced the Cardinals in receptions (111), targets (147) and receiving yards (1,146), all of which ranked second to rookie sensation Brock Bowers among tight ends in the entire NFL. At least at the conclusion of this season, McBride is the clear top pass catcher for Arizona, but 2024 first-round pick Marvin Harrison (62-885-8 on 116 targets as a rookie) may begin to make inroads on that mantle as soon as next fall. As a 2022 second-rounder, McBride is extension-eligible this offseason, so he may receive a long-term commitment from the team in the coming months.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Top DFS Play

The fact that McBride is TE3 per game with no receiving TDs is pretty ridiculous. This week he faces a Panthers defense that has given up the most touchdowns to opposing tight ends. This has to be the week the streak ends, right? McBride has scored at least 14 PPR Fantasy points four straight weeks without a score, so the floor is very solid even if the streak continues.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Leading receiver on 10 targets

McBride corralled nine of 10 targets for 87 yards in Sunday's 30-17 win over the Patriots. McBride continued his dominance in between the 20s with another big PPR effort that resulted in no touchdowns. The 24-year-old has shockingly recorded 89 receptions for 938 yards with zero trips to the end zone in 13 starts this season. It will be curious to see if the budding tight end will reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark or score his first touchdown of 2024 first. We could find out the answer when McBride and the Cardinals face the Panthers next Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Good to go for Week 15

McBride (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. A limited practice participant earlier in the week, McBride upgraded to full participation Friday, suggesting he should be ready for his usual, target-hogging role in a matchup with New England's subpar defense. He still hasn't scored a receiving TD this season but ranks top two among tight ends in catches, yards and targets.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Stays limited Thursday

McBride (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. McBride so far is operating with a cap on his reps during Week 15 prep, and he'll have one more chance Friday to get back to full participation before the Cardinals potentially give him a designation for Sunday's contest against the Patriots. Since Arizona's Week 11 bye, he's been running on all cylinders over the last three games, gathering in 31 of 41 targets for 299 yards, but he hasn't yet recorded a receiving TD through 12 outings this season.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Top DFS Play

There is no George Kittle or Brock Bowers on the main slate, which leaves Trey McBride as the clear top option in the projections. He has 41 targets in his last three games and is a good cash game play, even if he doesn't score. If he does break that seal, he could post a number that is almost impossible for your opponent to overcome.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Nearly hits century mark Sunday

McBride caught all 12 of his targets for 96 yards in Sunday's 23-22 loss to the Vikings. The Cardinals' running game struggled early, forcing Kyler Murray to turn to McBride instead to stay ahead of the sticks. The third-year tight end tied his season high in receptions while leading Arizona in receiving yards, and over the last five games he's cemented himself as Murray's top read, racking up 40 catches on 47 targets for 459 yards. Despite the massive volume though, McBride is still looking for his first touchdown of 2024. He'll try to end his scoring drought in Week 14 against the Seahawks.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Records season-high 12 receptions

McBride produced 12 catches (on 15 targets) for 133 yards and no touchdowns during Sunday's 16-6 defeat at Seattle. McBride was the lone bright spot for the Cardinals offense on an afternoon in which just one teammate surpassed 50 yards from scrimmage (WR Michael Wilson's 54, all through the air). As the focal point of the team's passing game, McBride recorded his second 100-yard performance in 10 appearances this season, but he remains in search of his first touchdown. He'll aim to continue his momentum next Sunday in Minnesota.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Gains 71 yards Sunday

McBride caught four of five targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 31-6 rout of the Jets. McBride didn't replicate his anomalous rushing touchdown from a week prior, but he continued to operate as one of Kyler Murray's favorite targets in Sunday's victory. The 24-year-old McBride has accrued a 49-552-0 line (plus a two-yard rushing TD) through nine starts as Arizona enters its bye week. McBride will likely continue being a reliable fantasy tight end when the Cardinals resume play against the Seahawks on Nov. 24.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Puts up big numbers in win

McBride finished with nine receptions (11 targets) for 124 yards in Sunday's 28-27 win over the Dolphins. McBride took his ceiling to a new level after cracking the century mark in receiving yards for the first time this season Sunday. The 24-year-old has yet to score a touchdown this year, but that is the only thing holding the tight end back from becoming a must-start asset. McBride remains a strong play heading into next Sunday's tilt against Chicago.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Leads team with seven targets

McBride had five receptions (on seven targets) for 51 yards in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers. McBride led the Cardinals in both targets and receptions Monday, serving as quarterback Kyler Murray's favorite target. Backup tight end Greg Dortch cashed in Arizona's lone receiving touchdown on the evening, but the 24-year-old McBride still posted solid numbers for the third game running since returning from a one-game absence Week 4. Managers should feel confident playing McBride against the Dolphins in Week 8.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Busiest game of season

McBride brought in all eight targets for 96 yards in the Cardinals' 34-13 loss to the Packers on Sunday. With Marvin Harrison exiting the game with a concussion in the second quarter, McBride operated as Kyler Murray's top target on the afternoon. In the process, the third-year tight end set new season highs in receptions and receiving yards while drawing his second-highest target total of the campaign. McBride now has at least six catches in three of his past four games, which leaves him trending in the right direction for a Week 7 Monday night home matchup against the Chargers on Oct. 21.

  • Cardinals' Trey McBride: Returns to lead team in targets

McBride (ribs) turned nine targets into six receptions for 53 yards in Sunday's 24-23 win over San Francisco. McBride overcame a pair of health roadblocks (one of which had cost him a week of action) to return to Arizona's starting lineup against the 49ers in Week 5. The 2022 second-round pick wound up leading his team in targets while producing a solid fantasy line for managers in Sunday's upset victory. McBride is averaging four receptions and 43.8 yards in four active games this season, making him a reliable option at a shallow position heading into next Sunday's tilt against Green Bay.
