  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Top receiver in preseason finale

Marshall (knee) caught five of seven targets for 51 yards in Friday's 19-17 preseason win over the Jets. Marshall was sidelined by a knee injury for most of the preseason but made a strong case for a spot on Philadelphia's 53-man roster by leading the team in catches and receiving yards in Friday's preseason finale. The 2021 second-round pick of the Panthers is competing for a depth role with the Eagles. Marshall's chances of making the team got a boost this week when fellow wideout Johnny Wilson (knee) was placed on IR.

  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Logs another practice

Marshall (knee) participated in practice Wednesday, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports. Marshall was sidelined for a couple of weeks before returning to practice in a limited fashion Saturday. The 25-year-old did not play in Philadelphia's preseason opener and should be able to suit up this Saturday as he tries to fight for a job in a wide receiver room that has some openings aside from the duo of DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. He joined the Eagles on a one-year, $1.195 million contract in April after appearing in seven games for Carolina last season.

  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Limited in return to practice

Marshall (knee) was a limited participant in Saturday's training camp practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Marshall did not play in the Eagles' 34-27 preseason win over the Bengals on Thursday due to a knee injury. He was cleared to return to practice Saturday, and while it was in a limited capacity, he did participate in team drills with the second-team offense, per Brooks Kubena of The Athletic. Barring any setbacks, Marshall appears on track to play in the Eagles' second exhibition game against the Browns on Saturday, Aug. 16.

  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Remains idle with knee injury

Marshall (knee) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Marshall was injured during Tuesday's session and hasn't practiced since. The 25-year-old signed with the Eagles back in April after spending 2024 with the Panthers, 49ers and Raiders. Marshall appeared in seven regular-season games last season, all with Las Vegas, and caught three passes for 41 yards on six targets. He's trying to win a job in a top-heavy Philadelphia wideout room behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Jobs are up for grabs behind the two locked-in starters, but Marshall needs to get healthy.

  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Suffers leg injury at practice

Marshall (leg) left Tuesday's practice early with a limp and was evaluated in the medical tent, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports. Marshall has built some momentum early at training camp, but he may now be forced to miss some time because of the injury of unknown severity. He's competing to carve out a depth role behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith (back) and likely No. 3 receiver Jahan Dotson.

  • Eagles' Terrace Marshall: Landing with Philly

Marshall has agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Marshall, whom the Panthers took in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, is coming off a 2024 regular season in which he recorded three catches for 41 yards on six targets in seven games for the Raiders. With the Eagles, Marshall will have a chance to compete for depth slotting behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but as long as the top duo is healthy, steady targets will be hard for the team's other wideouts to come by.

  • Raiders' Terrace Marshall: Finishes season with three catches

Marshall played 14 offensive snaps but was not targeted in the Raiders' Week 18 loss to the Chargers, closing out his 2024 campaign with three catches for 41 yards on six targets across seven games. Marshall was a late-October addition to the Raiders' practice squad before ultimately being activated for seven contests in the Silver & Black, providing depth at wide receiver following Davante Adams' departure to the Jets and DJ Turner's (knee) placement on injured reserve. Marshall is still only 24 years old, so the 2021 second-round pick will look to compete for a roster spot again in 2025, though it might not be in Las Vegas due to the upcoming arrival of a new head coach and general manager.

  • Raiders' Terrace Marshall: Signed to active roster

Marshall was signed to the active roster by the Raiders on Thursday. The wide receiver signed to the team's practice squad Oct. 22 and was elevated for Las Vegas' Week 11 loss to Miami, playing on seven offensive snaps and seeing no targets. Marshall, a 2021 second-round pick of the Panthers, caught 64 passes for 767 yards and a touchdown in three seasons with Carolina.

  • Raiders' Terrace Marshall: Elevated for Week 11

The Raiders elevated Marshall from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Marshall was signed to the Raiders' practice squad Oct. 22 after being let go by the 49ers one week earlier. The 2021 second-round pick is set to make his 2024 regular-season debut, though he's unlikely to see heavy usage on offense, as he's listed behind Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, DJ Turner and Ramel Keyton on the Raiders' wide receiver depth chart.

  • Terrace Marshall: Time up in Carolina

The Panthers are slated to waive Marshall on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Marshall, a 2021 second-round pick, failed to emerge as a consistent option across three seasons with Carolina, in which time he compiled just 767 receiving yards across 36 combined appearances. The offseason additions of Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette effectively spelled the end of Marshall's tenure with the Panthers, although he could join the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Records two catches

Marshall recorded two receptions (on three targets) for 14 yards in Saturday's 15-12 preseason loss to the Jets. The Panthers held out their top pass catchers, leaving Marshall among the first receivers to take the field. He made both of his catches on the team's second possession, the first of which helped the offense convert on third down. Marshall has yet to find his footing as a pro and is likely fighting for his roster spot this summer.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Empty stat line in loss

Marshall failed to come up with either of his two targets in the Panthers' 17-3 preseason loss to the Patriots on Thursday. Marshall came up empty after impressing in training camp practices, but the Panthers rolled out undrafted rookie Jack Plummer as the starting quarterback Thursday. Marshall got extra opportunity Thursday with Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette (foot) sitting out, and the fourth-year wideout will look to continue making his bid for a roster spot during Carolina's second preseason game against the Jets on Aug. 17.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Shining early in camp

Marshall caught a deep pass at Monday's practice, continuing a trend from the first week of training camp, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Multiple Carolina beat writers have mentioned Marshall and Jonathan Mingo as surprise standouts through the first week of training camp. Both are former second-round picks that have disappointed so far, and any fantasy interest in them mostly died out after poor showings in 2023 were followed by the Panthers trading for Diontae Johnson and drafting Xavier Legette (32nd overall). It's still a long shot for Marshall to become useful in fantasy after managing just 767 yards and one TD over his first three professional seasons, but he could at least make it a competition with Legette and Mingo for the third WR spot alongside Johnson and Adam Thielen. Despite being in his fourth professional season, Marshall is only six months older than Legette and 10 months older than Mingo.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Not suiting up

Marshall (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Packers. Marshall will be a healthy scratch for the sixth straight week as the Panthers will choose to dress just four wide receivers for Week 16. The LSU product has 18 catches on 32 targets for 134 yards in his eight games with the Panthers this season.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Sidelined again

Marshall (coach's decision) will remain sidelined in Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official website reports. Marshall's absence will mark his fifth straight game on the sideline. The 2021 second-round pick's next opportunity to suit up will come in one week versus the Packers.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Inactive Sunday

Marshall (coach's decision) will be sidelined for Sunday's tilt against the Titans, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official website reports. This will mark Marshall's second straight game as a healthy scratch. He appears to be the odd man out on the receiving depth chart right now. His next chance to play will come in one week versus the Buccaneers.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Suddenly no snaps

Marshall was active but did not play a single snap in Sunday's 42-24 loss to the Lions. Marshall was coming off a career-best nine catches and 10 targets in Week 4, but with rookie Jonathan Mingo returning to the lineup, Marshall didn't hear his number called once. That swing came despite the Panthers trailing by a sizeable amount and ultimately passing 41 times. After averaging over 43 offensive snaps through Carolina's first four games, it'd be surprising if the healthy Marshall isn't reincorporated in Week 6 versus the Dolphins, but Sunday's goose egg showed anything can happen.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Another limited practice

Marshall (back) practice in a limited capacity Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. While Marshall maintained his activity level from Wednesday, fellow wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) did not, as he joined DJ Chark (hamstring) as a non-participant. If one or both of Thielen and Chark have to sit out Sunday in Atlanta, Marshall could have an elevated role alongside rookie Jonathan Mingo, assuming the former gains clearance to play.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Still limited at practice Wednesday

Marshall (back) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday. Marshall's status for Sunday's game in Atlanta is still up in the air while he works his way back from a back injury that he sustained in an Aug. 14 practice. He'll still have two more chances to upgrade to full participation in practice, but if Marshall can't go Sunday, rookie Jonathan Mingo will likely be one of the largest beneficiaries in terms of snaps.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Practices in limited fashion

Marshall (back) returned to practice Tuesday as a limited participant, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Coach Frank Reich said Marshall didn't participate fully but that his reps were "enough... a good first step," per Augusta Stone of the Panthers' official site. DJ Chark (hamstring) did rehab work Tuesday, while Laviska Shenault (concussion) was able to take the field in a red non-contact jersey. If Marshall manages to return for Week 1's match against the Falcons but Chark remains sidelined, he could start the season as one of Carolina's top three wideouts.
