Craig James: Reaches injury settlement
The Lions released James (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
James was placed on IR on Tuesday after sustaining some sort of injury during minicamp, and the 28-year-old cornerback and the Lions have now agreed to part ways. James will be free to sign elsewhere once he returns to full health.

The Lions placed James (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
James suited up for two games with the Jets last season, playing 58 percent of defensive snaps versus the Eagles in Week 6 as a result of short-term injuries to both Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed.

Jets' Craig James: Likely to start sans Sauce
James will likely start Sunday's matchup versus the Eagles in place of Sauce Gardner (concussion), Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The Jets' other starting cornerback, D.J. Reed, is also unavailable due to a concussion, so James and Bryce Hall will be asked to slow down DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown, while Michael Carter will presumably handle slot duties. James has appeared in just one game this season and played primarily on special teams.

James (undisclosed) was cut with a non-football injury designation by the Jets on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network reports.
James got a look from the Jets after being cut by the Eagles earlier in July, but he was unable to stick with New York heading into training camp. The cornerback will look to heal from his injury before trying to earn a spot somewhere in camp.

James was cut by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
James spent the majority of last season on the Eagles' practice squad and never suited up for a game. However, he did appear in 18 games over the previous two seasons for the team, making 17 tackles. The 26-year-old now will work to catch on elsewhere.
