Bears' Malik Muhammad: Good to go against Minnesota
Muhammad (ankle) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's NFC North clash against the Vikings.
Muhammad was limited in practice by an ankle injury earlier in the week, but he shed an injury designation for Week 2 after practicing in full Friday. The rookie fourth-rounder operated in an elevated role defensively during the Bears' Week 1 win over the Panthers, but his playing time will likely take a hit due to the return of veteran safety Xavier Woods (groin).

Bears' Malik Muhammad: Working through ankle injury
Muhammad (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
The rookie fourth-round defensive back may have tweaked his ankle during the Bears' 59-37 win over the Panthers in Week 1, when he logged three tackles (two solo) and two pass defenses (including an interception). Muhammad will have two more opportunities to log a full practice and avoid an injury designation for the Bears' NFC North tilt against the Vikings on Sunday.

Bears' Malik Muhammad: Scooped up by Chicago
The Bears selected Muhammad in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 124th overall.
Muhammad (6-feet, 182 pounds) is perhaps on the smaller side for a boundary corner, but the former Texas standout has good reach (32 and 3/8-inch arms) for press purposes and his 4.42-second 40 demonstrates enough recovery speed to buy the idea of Muhammad starting down the road. He might be able to put some heat on Tyrique Stevenson for the second boundary corner role behind Jaylon Johnson as soon as this year.
