Bears' Keyshaun Elliott: Won't play against Green Bay
Elliott (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Elliott missed the Bears' last two practices while tending to a quad injury, which will prevent him from playing in Sunday's NFC North contest. The rookie fifth-rounder has contributed solely on special teams this season, but his absence means Jack Sanborn will be the top depth option at linebacker behind starters D'Marco Jackson, T.J. Edwards and Devin Bush. Elliott's next chance to play is Week 6 against the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Bears' Keyshaun Elliott: No longer on injury report
Elliott (undisclosed) wasn't listed on Chicago's injury report Wednesday.
Elliott is healthy again after missing the entirety of training camp with an undisclosed injury. Due to the time he missed, the rookie fifth-round pick will likely be limited to special teams and a reserve defender role to open the campaign.

Bears' Keyshaun Elliott: Activated off active/PUP list
The Bears activated Elliott (undisclosed) from the active/PUP list Tuesday.
Elliott has not yet participated in training camp, being held out of Tuesday's session due to a lingering undisclosed injury. The rookie fifth-rounder should be back in action shortly after being activated and is likely set to be a special-teams contributor and lower-priority depth option at linebacker throughout the 2026 season.

Bears' Keyshaun Elliott: Opening camp on PUP
Elliott (undisclosed) was placed on the Bears' active/PUP list Saturday, Adam Hoge of AllCHGO.com reports.
The nature and severity of Elliott's injury isn't clear, but he'll be able to return to practice one he's fully recovered. He was selected by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft and figures to contribute mostly on special teams while competing against Noah Sewell (Achilles) for depth snaps at linebacker behind T.J. Edwards (undisclosed).

Bears' Keyshaun Elliott: Chosen by Chicago
The Bears selected Elliott in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 166th overall.
Elliott (6-foot-2, 231 pounds) transferred from New Mexico State to Arizona State in 2024, totaling three-and-a-half years as a starter between both teams and 301 tackles in that span. The 22-year-old's aggressiveness, physicality and ability to stop the run are well-established traits, but the same is arguably true for Elliott's limitations against coverage and his average athleticism. As a rookie in Chicago, Elliott figures to have every chance to prove he's capable of taking a step forward in his development while competing for depth snaps with Noah Sewell (Achilles), Jack Sanborn and 2025 fourth-round pick Ruben Hyppolite.
