Fannin secured five of six targets for 54 yards in the Browns' 23-19 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
The second-year tight end bounced back from a quiet Week 1 to post a productive stat line Sunday akin to many he'd generated during an impressive 2025 rookie campaign. Fannin tied for second on the day in receptions and targets for Cleveland while also checking in as the runner-up in receiving yards, serving as a frequent security blanket for Deshaun Watson. Fannin should continue seeing plenty of opportunity as his chemistry with Watson grows, and he'll next take aim at the Panthers' defense in Week 3 home matchup.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Quiet in Week 1 loss
Fannin brought in two of three targets for 21 yards in the Browns' 34-10 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
Deshaun Watson mostly struggled against an aggressive Jaguars defense that sacked him five times and picked him off once, so Fannin's generally disappointing numbers don't look quite as bleak within that context. The talented second-year tight end still is projected to remain a critical piece in the Browns' passing game, and Fannin could see a larger role as soon as a Week 2 road matchup against the Buccaneers.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Doesn't play Thursday vs. NE
Fannin did not play in the Browns' 37-13 preseason win over the Patriots on Thursday.
Fannin and several other Browns starters -- including Deshaun Watson, Quinshon Judkins and rookie wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston -- were idle for Cleveland's preseason finale Thursday. Despite shaky quarterback play in 2025, Fannin was able to put together a productive rookie campaign, as he logged 72 catches (on 107 targets) for 731 yards and six touchdowns while adding seven carries for 13 yards and a score across 16 regular-season games. David Njoku is no longer with the Browns, so Fannin is the unquestioned TE1 on the depth chart and could be a go-to target for Watson in the passing game.

Browns' Harold Fannin: Can't connect with Watson in preseason loss
Fannin failed to haul in his only target in Saturday's 34-10 preseason loss to the Bears.
With Deshaun Watson getting the start under center for the Browns, Fannin's only target came on a 3rd-and-5 in Chicago territory, but he couldn't bring in it. Fannin had an impressive rookie season in 2025 after being a third-round pick despite the team's QB woes, but he missed most of the offseason program while recovering from groin surgery and only got cleared in mud-July, costing him valuable time to develop chemistry with Watson. If Watson does win the Week 1 starting job ahead of Shedeur Sanders, who showed a strong rapport with the tight end last year, it could impact Fannin's numbers in the early part of the schedule.
