Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Impressive with 19 touches
Rotowire
Jeanty rushed 14 times for 67 yards and brought in five of seven targets for 42 yards in the Raiders' 40-6 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Jeanty ultimately saw his rushing workload somewhat curtailed due to the game getting completely away from the Raiders, but the talented back was impressive again with the opportunities he did see. Those touches helped net new single-game career highs in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the rookie first-round pick, who corroborated the value of keeping him involved in the game even when Las Vegas is on the wrong end of a lopsided score. Jeanty will remain a highly appealing option in all formats in an enticing Week 6 home matchup against the Titans next Sunday afternoon.

Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Goes off for three scores
Rotowire
Jeanty took 21 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 17 yards and two more touchdowns in Sunday's 25-24 loss to Chicago. He also lost a fumble.
Jeanty's early fumble fortunately did not earn him a benching -- which coaching staffs have been known to do when young players display ball-security issues -- as he went on to produce his best game so far in the NFL. It was a welcome sight from the sixth overall pick in this year's draft, who failed to average over 4.0 yards per carry in any of his first three outings. With a signature performance under his belt, Jeanty's fantasy managers can start him with confidence heading into next Sunday's tilt against Indianapolis.

Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Contrarian DFS Play
Rotowire
Jeanty's price just keeps falling, along with his projection and his ranking. Still, I have liked what I have seen the few times the Raiders have blocked well for him. This is a get right spot at home, as a favorite, against the Bears. They are giving up 25.6 PPR FPPG to running backs this season and 5.3 yards per carry to opposing backs. If the Raiders can't get Jeanty free against this defense we have even bigger problems than it already feels like.

Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Rush TD in pro debut
Rotowire
Jeanty rushed 19 times for 38 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for two yards in the Raiders' 20-13 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
Jeanty was repeatedly flummoxed by a game Patriots front, although he was able to record his first regular-season touchdown on a tough three-yard run in the third quarter. He did receive ample opportunity on the ground and outpaced the only other Raiders running back to log a carry, Zamir White, by 16 rush attempts. Despite some summertime talk from head coach Pete Carroll that all of his backs would be involved to varying degrees, Jeanty unsurprisingly heads into a Week 2 Monday night home matchup against the Chargers on Sept. 15 as the clear leader of the ground attack.

Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Two carries in preseason finale
Rotowire
Jeanty rushed twice for five yards in the Raiders' 20-10 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night.
Jeanty logged the Raiders' first touch from scrimmage and shared time with Zamir White on the drive. Jeanty, the rookie first-round pick, had a relatively quiet first preseason as a pro, rushing 12 times for 37 yards and a touchdown while recording one catch for two yards over three games. That type of sparse usage should be a distant memory as soon as the regular season begins, as Jeanty is expected to handle a robust role in the Raiders' ground attack beginning with a Week 1 road matchup against the Patriots on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: No running room in NFL debut
Rotowire
Jeanty rushed three times for minus-1 yard and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 23-23 preseason tie against the Seahawks.
Jeanty produced a forgettable stat line in his highly anticipated Raiders debut. His first carry went for three yards on the opening drive, and Jeanty stayed in for the start of the second drive even as Geno Smith gave way to backup Aidan O'Connell under center. Poor blocking contributed to Jeanty being stuffed on his next two carries for a combined minus-4 yards. Jeanty's prolific production at Boise State led to him being drafted sixth overall, but the talented rookie could be held back to some extent by poor offensive line play on a Vegas team that went 4-13 last season, even if Jeanty works in a three-down role out of the gate. He'll look to pick up the pace Aug. 16 against the 49ers in the Raiders' second preseason game.

Raiders' Ashton Jeanty: Vegas bound
Rotowire
The Raiders selected Jeanty in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, sixth overall.
There was plenty of speculation earlier Thursday that Jeanty would be the fifth pick, but a shakeup at the top of the board changed the course of the draft and allowed the Raiders an opportunity to swoop in and immediately change their backfield. Jeanty put up video game-like numbers during his three seasons at Boise State with 4,769 yards and 50 rushing touchdowns to go with 80 catches for 862 yards and six touchdowns on 100 targets. He ran for a whopping 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns on 374 carries in his final season. To average 7.0 yards per carry when defenses spent the entire week gameplanning how to slow him down shows just how special of a running back Jeanty is. He didn't test at the NFL Combine, but the production and a look at the film suggest that he's an above-average athlete for an NFL running back. The fit couldn't be much better for Jeanty's workload projection, as the Raiders were dead-last in the NFL in rushing yards (1,357) and YPC (3.6) last season. Playing for a coach like Pete Carroll will also help solidify his usage. The Raiders' offensive line is a bit of a question mark, but even so, Jeanty's pre-draft status as the top fantasy rookie in redraft and in dynasty remains unchanged.
