Packers' Bo Melton: Quiet in preseason finale
Melton did not catch either of his targets in Friday's preseason win over Arizona.
The Packers held most of their key players out of the contest, so Melton's inclusion in the game could indicate that he's not an absolute lock to make the 53-man roster. If that's the case, it may not help that undrafted rookie J. Michael Sturdivant broke out a 6-112-1 receiving line Friday, though it's generally unwise to read too deeply into preseason performances. Still, Melton had a pretty poor exhibition slate, catching just two of seven targets for 14 yards. Melton worked often as a kick returner last season, but free-agent signee Skyy Moore appears set to take over that role in 2026. The odds still seem to be in favor of Melton surviving cutdown day, and if he does, he'll likely work mostly on special teams during the regular season.

Packers' Bo Melton: Signs tender with Green Bay
Melton (knee) signed his exclusive-rights tender with the Packers on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Melton is set to receive $1.145 million in 2026 after playing 16 regular-season contests for the Packers in 2025. The wide receiver and special teams piece suffered a knee injury at the end of the 2025 regular season, but he's healthy and ready to go for the start of the 2026 offseason.

Packers' Bo Melton: Should be healthy for OTAs
Melton (ankle) said he is expected to need roughly one month to recover from the injury he suffered Week 18 and may have been a candidate to return to action had Green Bay advanced to Super Bowl LX, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Melton declined to speculate on whether he'll enter the 2026 offseason working primarily at cornerback or wide receiver, but he noted that he expects to have that discussion with the Packers' coaching staff. He was moved to cornerback last offseason but contributed mostly as a backup receiver for Green Bay during the 2025 campaign. Melton will be a restricted free agent this offseason, giving the Packers the right to match any contract offers he receives from other teams or potentially receive draft pick compensation should he sign elsewhere.

Melton had one carry for 17 yards in Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Giants. He also returned two kickoffs for 37 yards.
The wideout-turned-cornerback-turned-wideout got 26 snaps on the offensive side of the ball with the Packers in a pinch in Week 10, and although he had the long run Sunday, it was the only snap he got in offense in Week 11. As such, it seems likely he will continue focusing on defense -- and special teams -- moving forward.

Packers' Bo Melton: Sees work as receiver in Week 10
Melton played 26 of the Packers' 68 snaps on offense and recorded two catches for 28 yards on five targets in Monday's 10-7 loss to the Eagles.
After being converted from receiver to cornerback during the offseason, Melton was active for seven of the Packers' first eight games but had been deployed almost exclusively on special teams, logging just seven total snaps as a defender through the first nine weeks. However, perhaps due in part to being without Jayden Reed (collarbone) and Matthew Golden (shoulder) in Week 10 in addition to Romeo Doubs (chest) exiting the contest early, the Packers elected to break Melton in for his first reps on offense of 2025. Melton ended up finishing the night with a 38 percent offensive snap share, placing him behind Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks and Doubs but ahead of Malik Heath and Savion Williams in playing time at receiver. Head coach Matt LaFleur could shed more light on his plans for Melton when he addresses the media later this week, but the 26-year-old's usage on either offense or defense is likely to be dependent on the health of the Packers' receiver and cornerback groups.
