With K.J. Britt (ankle) sidelined and J.J. Russell (hamstring) forced out of Sunday's contest early, Jones saw a significant share of his team's defensive snaps for his first time as a pro, and he posted a career-high tackle total. Jones spent the summer with the Seahawks before being waived from injured reserve in September. Now healthy again, the 25-year-old will look to get an opportunity with the Steelers.

Vi Jones: Let go from IR
The Seahawks waived Jones (ankle) from IR with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Jones landed on IR after previously going unclaimed on waivers during Seattle's final roster cuts in late August. As a result, the second-year linebacker out of NC State was slated to miss the entire season on IR, but he will now be eligible to sign elsewhere during the 2023 campaign once he's healthy.

Seahawks' Vi Jones: Will be sidelined
Jones (ankle) reverted to IR on Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Jones suffered the injury early in August and was unable to take the field for the remainder of training camp. He'll now miss all of the 2023 season as well unless he reaches an injury settlement with Seattle.

Jones (ankle) was waived/injured by Seattle on Tuesday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Jones bounced back and forth between the Seahawks' active roster and practice squad last year. The young linebacker has been sidelined since the beginning of August with an ankle injury, which turned out to be detrimental to his chances of making the team's active roster.

Jones will be out for a few weeks due to an ankle sprain, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Jones saw action in three games with the Seahawks last season, earning 43 snaps on special teams. The 25-year-old may have been on the outside looking in regarding the final roster, so any kind of extended absence could be detrimental to his goals. He'll now focus on getting healthy and back out on the practice field.
