  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Clears protocol but questionable

Parkinson (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol but will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Rams coach Sean McVay said Friday, Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News reports. Parkinson is eligible to suit up Sunday after clearing concussion protocol, but the team will continue to monitor his status to ensure Parkinson doesn't suffer a setback. Even if Parkinson plays, his role in the passing game will likely be limited as part of a crowded Rams tight end room that includes Tyler Higbee (hip), Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Remains limited Thursday

Parkinson (concussion) remained limited in Thursday's practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Parkinson picked up the concussion in last Thursday night's overtime loss to the 49ers. If neither Parkinson nor Tyler Higbee (hip) can play Sunday against the Ravens, Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson would handle tight-end duties for Los Angeles.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: In concussion protocol

Parkinson is in the league's concussion protocol, but coach Sean McVay said Monday he expects Parkinson to be available to play Sunday against the Ravens, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. With Tyler Higbee (hip) out last Thursday night against the 49ers, Parkinson started the game and played 37 percent of the Rams' offensive snaps. He failed to catch his lone target, which was an end-zone shot from Matthew Stafford. Parkinson has four catches for 11 yards on five targets this season.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Blanked again

Parkinson failed to secure his only target during Thursday's 26-23 overtime loss to the 49ers. Even with Tyler Higbee (hip) out of action, Parkinson took a back seat to Davis Allen in terms of snap count (41 to 25) and overall production, with Allen turning his two targets into 24 yards. The goose egg marks Parkinson's second fruitless outing in three weeks, and his four receptions this year have combined for just 11 yards. Terrance Ferguson also got into the mix with a catch of his own, and the quartet of Rams tight ends will remain difficult to use for fantasy purposes even with the Ravens and their league-worst 133 points allowed next on the schedule in Week 6.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Makes two grabs

Parkinson (shoulder) secured both of his targets for 17 yards during Sunday's 27-20 win against the Colts. A nagging shoulder injury wasn't enough to cost Parkinson his second game of the season, and he played roughly 30 percent of the snaps on offense and made a few catches with his limited time on the field. Tyler Higbee (hip) saw five targets and nearly doubled Parkinson's snaps on offense, and has clearly reclaimed his role as the top tight end for the Rams. Davis Allen and Parkinson were nearly tied (22 to 21) in snap count, and while the duo are likely close in terms of who the No. 2 tight end is on the depth chart, the role has little fantasy value at the moment, even with the 49ers' depleted defense next on the docket on Thursday Night Football in Week 5.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Active Sunday vs. Colts

Parkinson (shoulder) is active for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Colts, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. The journeyman tight end will once again play through the nagging shoulder issue that dates back to Week 1 and cost him one game already this season. Despite his active status, Parkinson looks to be slotted in at No. 3 on the depth chart at the moment, with Davis Allen having seemingly surpassed him for the job of primary backup to Tyler Higbee (hip).

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Expected to play Sunday

Parkinson (shoulder) is questionable to play in Sunday's contest against the Colts, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Parkinson has been limited at practice throughout the week due to his preexisting shoulder injury that he sustained in Week 1, but head coach Sean McVay said Friday that he expects the tight end to play in Week 4. Parkinson has caught both of his targets for a loss of six yards over two games this season.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Still dealing with shoulder issue

Parkinson (shoulder) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Parkinson was able to play through his shoulder injury in Week 3 at Philadelphia, but he's apparently still not back to 100 percent after suffering an AC joint sprain in Week 1 versus the Texans. As long as he's able to continue practicing in some capacity Thursday or Friday, he figures to be available for Sunday's game versus the Colts.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Quiet in return from injury

Parkinson played 21 snaps on offense during Sunday's 33-26 loss to the Eagles. After missing one game due to a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, Parkinson returned to his role as a backup to starter Tyler Higbee. Only Davis Allen managed to secure a catch among the trio of tight ends, while Parkinson still sits with the dubious honor of having a negative yardage total through his two healthy games. The Colts are up next on the docket in Week 4.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Cleared to play vs. Philadelphia

Parkinson (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Parkinson was not cleared to play against the Titans in Week 2 due to a shoulder injury, but has been given the green light to suit up Sunday. Parkinson will serve as the Rams' backup tight end behind Tyler Higbee while Davis Allen works in rotation.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Questionable to face Philly

Parkinson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Parkinson logged his third straight limited practice Friday, setting him up for a potential return to the field Sunday. He missed the Rams' Week 2 contest but could return as a depth offensive player and special teams contributor against the Eagles.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Limited again

Parkinson (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice for the second day in a row Thursday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. The tight end sprained the AC joint in his shoulder during the Rams' Week 1 win over the Texans and then missed the team's Week 2 victory over the Titans. Parkinson did not even suit up for practice last week, so his limited participation this week might be a good sign ahead of Sunday's showdown with the Eagles. The former Seahawk played on 28 offensive snaps in Week 1, catching both of his targets for minus-6 yards.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Logs limited practice

Parkinson (shoulder) logged a limited practice Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Parkinson suffered an AC joint sprain in Week 1 and was sidelined for Week 2. Coach Sean McVay relayed that Parkinson is feeling better, and his return to the practice field supports that. It remains to be seen whether Parkinson will be able to suit up in Week 3 against the Eagles.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Won't play against Tennessee

Parkinson (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans. Parkinson sprained the AC joint in his shoulder in the first half of the Rams' Week 1 win over the Texans. The injury prevented the 2020 fourth-rounder from practicing all week, and he will observe Sunday's game in street clothes while Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson serve in depth roles at tight end behind Tyler Higbee. Parkinson's next chance to play is Week 3 against the Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 21.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Doubtful for Week 2

Parkinson (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday's game versus Tennessee, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports. Parkinson was injured in the first half of last Sunday's win over the Texans but quickly returned to finish the game. Now that the adrenaline has worn off, Parkinson is unlikely to play against the Titans due to the sprained AC joint. With Parkinson likely to sit out, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and rookie Terrance Ferguson will handle tight end duties for the Rams.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Misses second straight practice

Parkinson (shoulder) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Parkinson was diagnosed with a sprained AC joint that he suffered during the Rams' Week 1 win over the Texans. He's opened the week with back-to-back DNPs and is unlikely to play against the Titans on Sunday unless he's able to practice in at least a limited capacity Friday. Davis Allen (knee) and Terrance Ferguson would handle backup tight end duties behind Tyler Higbee if Parkinson is ruled out for Week 2.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Injures shoulder Sunday

Parkinson is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Texans due to a shoulder injury. It's unclear when Parkinson suffered the injury, but he was evaluated by medical staff on the sidelines before heading into the locker room, where he will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury. Davis Allen is slated to step up as the Rams' TE3 behind Tyler Higbee and Terrance Ferguson if Parkinson is unable to return.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Scores TD in limited action

Parkinson secured both of his targets for nine yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 28-22 NFC divisional-round loss to the Eagles. Outside of his four-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter, it was another forgettable performance for the veteran tight end. The four snaps that Parkinson played in the divisional round was the least of any of the Rams' tight ends, and the first year of his three year, $22.5 million dollar contract with the Rams has turned out to be mostly a bust. Signed to be the starter while Tyler Higbee recovered from a torn ACL and MCL, Parkinson didn't hold the starting job long, slipping into a three-way timeshare with Davis Allen and Hunter Long before Higbee's return made it a four-way split in snaps. Parkinson finished the season with a modest 30-294-1 receiving line and will almost certainly fall behind Higbee on the depth chart to begin the 2025 campaign.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Held without a catch again

Parkinson failed to secure his lone target during Saturday's 13-9 victory against the Cardinals. Despite playing the most snaps out of the quartet of Rams' tight ends, Parkinson went a second straight game without a catch. Tyler Higbee was the only tight end to record any stats, and even he just managed two catches for nine yards. With the playing time between Parkinson, Higbee, Hunter Long and Davis Allen relatively even -- and the sheer lack of fantasy production outside of Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua on the Rams' offense -- it'll continue to be hard to trust any of the team's tight ends in fantasy rosters heading into the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Seahawks.

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Fails to make an impact

Parkinson failed to secure his lone target during Sunday's 19-9 victory against the Jets. With the return of Tyler Higbee (knee) to the lineup, the quartet of tight ends on the Rams' roster shared the field for nearly equal amounts, with the group combining for just three targets and a single catch by Higbee for 11 yards and a touchdown. With the Rams running their offense through Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua for the most part, no tight end on the Rams will be easy to trust in fantasy lineups as the Rams take on division rival Arizona in Week 17.
