Bears' Braxton Jones: Re-signs with Chicago
The Bears re-signed Jones to a one-year contract worth up to $10 million on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Jones lost his starting job at left tackle to 2025 second-rounder Ozzy Trapilo last season, but Trapilo suffered a serious knee injury in Chicago's wild-card win over the Packers and could miss the beginning of the 2026 campaign. Jones gives the Bears an experienced option, though he could face competition for the spot.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Comes off IR
The Bears activated Jones (knee) from injured reserve Tuesday.
Jones practiced in full ahead of Saturday's 31-27 wild-card win over the Packers, but he wasn't activated in time to suit up for that contest. With top left tackle Ozzy Trapilo (knee) having suffered a season-ending injury versus Green Bay, however, Jones now joins Theo Benedet as a candidate to start at LT during Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Rams.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Unavailable for wild-card round
Jones (knee) was not activated from injured reserve ahead of Saturday's wild-card round game against the Packers, Scott Bair of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Jones logged two full practices to close the week but still isn't able to retake the field. Ozzy Trapilo has taken over as the starter at left tackle, but Jones' continued absence will hurt Chicago's depth.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Officially questionable
Jones (knee), who remains on IR, practiced in full Thursday and is officially listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Packers.
Jones appears on track to retake the field Saturday and provide depth at offensive tackle, but the Bears will first need to submit a transaction activating him from IR to the 53-man roster. Meanwhile, starting left tackle Ozzy Trapilo upgraded to full practice reps Thursday and does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's game.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Practices in full Wednesday
Jones (knee), who officially remains on IR, was a full participant in Wednesday's session.
Chicago returned to practice Wednesday after holding a walkthrough session Tuesday, and Jones was listed as a full participant on both reports. He appears on track to come off IR and return to the 53-man roster in time for Saturday's wild-card round matchup against the Packers.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Practice window opens
Jones (knee) was designated to return from the injured reserve list Tuesday.
Jones has been sidelined for the Bears' last 11 games due to a knee injury sustained in the Week 7 win over the Saints, but he could return for the team's playoff run. If he's added to Chicago's active roster in time for Saturday's wild-card round matchup against the Packers, Jones would likely operate as one of the Bears' top reserve tackles.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Heads to IR
Jones (knee) was placed on the injured reserve list Saturday.
Jones didn't practice both Thursday and Friday due to a knee injury, and he'll now be forced to miss at least Chicago's next four contests after his placement on IR. While he's sidelined, expect Ozzy Trapilo to serve as the Bears' top reserve offensive tackle.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Out for Week 8
Jones (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Ravens.
Jones downgraded from a limited session Wednesday to DNPs on Thursday and Friday, so it's no surprise he'll be sidelined for the Week 8 contest. Expect Ozzy Trapilo to operate as the Bears' top reserve tackle in Jones' stead.
