  • Dolphins' Jamal Perry: Hits COVID list

The Dolphins placed Perry on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday. Perry was placed on the list for either testing positive for the virus, or coming into close contact with someone who did. Perry will now look to clear the league's protocols, but as long as he's sidelined, look for Noah Igbinoghene and Nik Needham to handle all of the depth cornerback snaps.

  • Dolphins' Jamal Perry: Could return Week 10

Perry (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Chargers. Perry hasn't played since Week 6, but he practiced fully and appears to be on the right track to return this Sunday. If he's indeed able to play, Perry likely will contribute mostly on special teams, as Byron Jones, Xavien Howard and Noah Igbinoghene are all healthy.

  • Dolphins' Jamal Perry: Questionable for Sunday

Perry (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Perry missed last week's win over the Rams, but three consecutive limited practices this week have him trending in the right direction. The 26-year-old mainly adds depth at cornerback, adding a good chunk of his contributions on special teams.

  • Dolphins' Jamal Perry: Out for Week 8

Perry (foot) won't play Sunday against the Rams, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports. Wolfe speculates that the Dolphins may opt to promote Tae Hayes from the practice squad to fill Perry's depth role in the secondary.

  • Dolphins' Jamal Perry: Competing for slot work

Perry (shoulder) will compete for reps at slot cornerback during training camp, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Perry, who legally changed his last name from Wiltz in March, consistently lined up as a starter in the slot last season before suffering a shoulder injury Week 16. Entering training camp, he'll face stout competition at the position from rookie Noah Igbinoghene, in addition to holdover Nik Needham.

  • Dolphins' Jomal Wiltz: Sitting out season finale

Wiltz (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports. Wiltz went down with the shoulder injury Week 16 and will be unable to play in the season finale. The 25-year-old finishes the 2019 campaign with 58 tackles (39 solo) and one interception in 14 games.

  • Dolphins' Jomal Wiltz: Done for day

Wiltz (shoulder) is ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. Wiltz recorded three tackles (two solo) before leaving the contest, upping his total to 58 stops and six pass breakups this year. He consistently lines up as a starter on the Dolphins' defense, so Tae Hayes and Linden Stephens should see upticks in usage during Wiltz' absence.
