Williams completed 20 of 34 passes for 280 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, rushed five times for 53 yards and brought in two targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in the Bears' 47-42 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Williams' brimming stat line tells the tale of a wild afternoon at Paycor Stadium that featured seven lead changes. Williams had a hand in the decisive one, connecting with rookie tight end Colston Loveland for a 58-yard game-winning touchdown. That momentous play was preceded by a 15- and five-yard scoring strikes to Olamide Zaccheaus and Loveland, respectively, as well as Williams' own two-yard TD grab from DJ Moore on a trick play to cap off Chicago's opening possession. The 2024 first overall pick snapped a two-game TD-pass drought with Sunday's performance, and he also hit the 280-yard mark for the second consecutive contest. Williams and the Bears have another favorable matchup on tap when the Giants pay a visit to Soldier Field for a Week 10 matchup next Sunday afternoon.

Bears' Caleb Williams: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Williams is due for a big game after two dud performances against New Orleans and Baltimore in the past two weeks, where he combined for just 15.4 Fantasy points. He should have a breakout game against the Bengals, who are No. 7 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Only two quarterbacks this season have failed to score at least 20.5 Fantasy points against Cincinnati, which were Joe Flacco in Week 1 with the Browns and Jordan Love in Week 6. Aaron Rodgers and Justin Fields have combined for 53.3 Fantasy points in the past two games against the Bengals, and Williams should bounce back in a big way in Week 9.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Top DFS Play
Rotowire
The Bengals and Bears have an over/under of 51.5 in Week 9, making this one of the top games to target for DFS. Since Joe Flacco is battling a shoulder injury we'll put Caleb Williams in our cash game lineups. His price is depressed due to recent struggles but this is a bounce back spot against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Held in check by Baltimore
Rotowire
Williams completed 25 of 38 passes for 285 yards and an interception in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Ravens. He added 24 rushing yards on three carries.
The second-year quarterback was able to move the ball early, but Williams' inability to get the ball into the end zone eventually cost the Bears after their first two drives ended in field goals. It's the second straight game in which he's failed to produce a TD, and both came against what were statistically poor defenses in New Orleans and Baltimore. Williams will try to get back on track against another vulnerable unit in Week 9 as Chicago faces a Cincinnati defense that just squandered a late lead and handed Justin Fields and the Jets their first win of the season.

Bears' Caleb Williams: QBs to Start

Williams just had his worst Fantasy outing of the season in Week 7 against New Orleans with 4.7 Fantasy points, and the Ravens are getting healthy on defense and coming off a bye. That said, I still like Williams as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues. He's scored at least 20.9 Fantasy points in four of six games this season, including twice on the road, and Baltimore is No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Three quarterbacks this season have scored at least 35 Fantasy points against the Ravens (Josh Allen, C.J. Stroud, and Patrick Mahomes), and Williams should have the chance for another quality outing in Week 8.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Relatively quiet in Week 7 win
Rotowire
Williams completed 15 of 26 passes for 172 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while netting minus-2 yards on four carries in the Bears' 26-14 win over the Saints on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, one which he recovered and the other which remained with Chicago.
Williams' final line underscores the unremarkable performance he authored in the double-digit home win. The 2024 first overall pick averaged 6.6 yards per attempt and generally scuffled against a beatable Saints defense, posting his lowest passing yardage total of the campaign. Williams did connect on another three completions of 20-plus yards, and his 20 such passes on the season over six games are exactly half the tally he generated in that category across 17 regular-season games in 2024. Williams next faces off with an inconsistent Ravens defense on the road in a Week 8 matchup next Sunday afternoon.

The worst performance for a quarterback against the Saints this season was Jaxson Dart in Week 5 with 19.6 Fantasy points. Every other quarterback against New Orleans has scored at least 21.5 Fantasy points, and I expect Williams to follow suit. He has one game this season with less than 20.9 Fantasy points. And he's averaging 31.7 Fantasy points at home, albeit in just two starts against Minnesota and Dallas.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Scores twice in MNF win
Rotowire
Williams completed 17 of 29 pass attempts for 252 yards and a touchdown while rushing four times for a loss of two yards and another touchdown in Monday's 25-24 win over Washington.
Williams didn't post gaudy numbers on Monday Night Football, but he played a clean game while lifting the Bears to a third straight victory. The 2024 first-overall pick won the individual battle between the top two quarterback selections from that draft, but Jayden Daniels arguably had the superior fantasy score after hitting pay dirt thrice in a losing effort. Williams has been looking more comfortable running head coach Ben Johnson's offense with each passing week, a trend the duo will look to maintain against the Saints on Sunday.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Sleeper QBs
Rotowire
Williams had his worst Fantasy outing of the season in Week 4 at Las Vegas with 13.8 points, which snapped a three-game streak where he scored at least 20.9 points. Coming off Chicago's bye in Week 5, Williams should get back on track against the Commanders, who have allowed three of the past four quarterbacks to score at least 22.7 Fantasy points. Last year, Williams faced Washington in Week 8 and scored just 9.9 Fantasy points in the game where the Bears lost on a Hail Mary. Williams will be much better in the rematch this week and has top-10 upside in all leagues.

Williams' pricing hasn't ye caught up to his production. He is the number two QB in Fantasy points and the eye test says he has improved every week in Ben Johnson's system. The Raiders are giving up nearly eight yards per pass attempt and don't present a particularly difficult matchup. Williams pedigree has never been in doubt and now he is starting to deliver on it. Week 4 could be a smash week in the dome in a game with an over/under of 47.5.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Precise against Dallas
Rotowire
Williams completed 19 of 28 passes for 298 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Cowboys. He added five rushes for 12 yards.
Williams has consistently looked sharp during the scripted portions of Chicago's game plans to begin the season, which remained the case Sunday when he connected for a 35-yard touchdown with Rome Odunze on the opening drive. He carried his strong performance through the entire game, however, and matched his career high with four passing scores while also completing four passes of more than 30 yards. In addition to the explosiveness, Williams didn't take a sack or turn the ball over in one of the most well-rounded showings of his young career.

Williams might be inconsistent with his performance in reality, but in Fantasy he's scored at least 20.9 Fantasy points in each of his first two starts. I love that he's averaging 42.5 rushing yards per game, and he has a fantastic matchup in Week 3 against Dallas. The Cowboys just allowed Russell Wilson to pass for 450 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in Week 2, and this could be Williams' best game to date. Dallas also has allowed 18 carries for 82 yards and two rushing touchdowns to Jalen Hurts and Wilson this year.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Squanders strong start in MNF loss
Rotowire
Williams completed 21 of 35 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown while rushing six times for 58 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
Williams got the Ben Johnson era off to an efficient start, hitting his first 10 throws under Chicago's new head coach and play caller. That strong stretch also included a nine-yard Williams rushing touchdown to cap the opening drive. His first miss was a costly one, though, as it came on fourth down well into Vikings territory. Chicago took a 17-6 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Vikings responded with 21 unanswered points before Williams finally stemmed the bleeding with a one-yard touchdown pass to Rome Odunze with 2:02 remaining. The Bears got the ball back in the final seconds but couldn't muster a final push. Williams' rushing production was encouraging, but he struggled with accuracy after his hot start through the air. He'll try to put together a more complete performance against the Lions in Week 2.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Starters will play Sunday
Rotowire
Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Wednesday that Williams and the first-team units will suit up for Sunday's preseason game against the Bills, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Williams and the majority of Chicago's starters were held out of preseason action versus the Dolphins last weekend, but the first-team units will get a chance to log exhibition reps versus Buffalo. Expectations are high for Williams entering Year 2, as he's surrounded by a revamped O-line that projects as top-10 in the league and boasts an impressive supporting cast headlined by wideouts DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden and TEs Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Not scheduled to play Sunday
Rotowire
Williams isn't scheduled to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Dolphins, per CHGO Sports.
This likely means most of Chicago's projected starters will be held out, although we figure to see them at least once this preseason as they continue learning coach Ben Johnson's playbook. With Williams held out, Tyson Bagent or Case Keenum figures to get the start Sunday.

Bears' Caleb Williams: QBs to Sit

We'll see how long the Packers play their starters in Week 18, but Williams will be tough to trust in this matchup. He scored 16.2 Fantasy points against Green Bay in Week 11, and Williams has scored 18.1 Fantasy points or less in three of his past four outings. The Packers are also No. 3 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only three quarterbacks have scored at least 20 Fantasy points against Green Bay since Week 8.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Expected to start in Week 18
Rotowire
Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown said Monday that Williams will play in Sunday's Week 18 game against Green Bay, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Brown also stated that all of Chicago's healthy players will suit up for the team's season finale. There had been some speculation that Williams could be held out of action given that the Bears have nothing to play for in terms of playoff contention and because the rookie QB has taken frequent hits this season -- Chicago has given up an NFL-high 67 sacks on the campaign. It remains to be seen how the Packers will handle their starters Week 18 with the team having clinched a playoff berth and being unable to rise above the No. 6 seed in the NFC.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Middling numbers in Week 17 loss
Rotowire
Williams completed 16 of 28 passes for 122 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and rushed five times for 37 yards in the Bears' 6-3 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered and pounced on a second loose ball.
Four days after throwing for 334 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions, Williams, along with the entire Bears offense, regressed significantly. The rookie first overall pick's yardage total was the second lowest of his young career, and until Chicago's final possession, Williams had only been able to lead the Bears on one drive of longer than 16 yards, although he did have a 17-yard second-quarter touchdown pass to Rome Odunze nullified by penalty. That final march, which spanned 13 plays and 49 yards, also ended with a Williams interception (his first pick since Week 6) on fourth down following three consecutive incompletions. The loss was the Bears' 10th consecutive, leaving a Week 18 road matchup against the Packers as their only remaining chance to taste victory again in the 2024 regular season.

I liked Williams in Week 16 against Detroit, and he delivered 26.8 Fantasy points with 334 passing yards and two touchdowns, along with 34 rushing yards. He's now scored at least 18.1 Fantasy points in four of his past five games, including three games with at least 26.8 points over that span. Seattle has allowed three quarterbacks in a row to score at least 21.6 Fantasy points with Kyler Murray, Jordan Love, and Sam Darnold, and Williams is worth trusting as a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues in Week 17.

Bears' Caleb Williams: Impressive numbers in loss
Rotowire
Williams completed 26 of 40 passes for 334 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed six times for 34 yards in the Bears' 34-17 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
The end result was another ugly loss for the Bears that dropped them to 4-11, but Williams' play was encouraging from a statistical perspective. The rookie first overall pick's yardage total was the third highest of his career, and the performance was his fourth 300-yard effort overall. Williams authored his fourth multi-touchdown tally of the last five contests by connecting with Cole Kmet (one yard) and Keenan Allen (45 yards) for his pair of scoring passes, both of which came in the second quarter. He also hasn't thrown an interception in nine straight games. Williams will look to continue honing his craft while seeking to snap what is now a nine-game losing streak for Chicago when the Seahawks come to town for a Week 17 matchup Thursday night.
