  • Vikings' Will Fries: Recovered from leg injury

Fries has recovered from a lower-leg injury, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Head coach Kevin O'Connell announced that Fries is cleared to ready and go ahead of the start of training camp after he suffered a broken tibia in Week 5 of last season with the Colts. He signed a five-year contract with the Vikings in March and will serve as their starting right guard during the upcoming season.

  • Vikings' Will Fries: Takes huge deal with Minnesota

The Vikings will sign Fries (lower leg) to a five-year, $88 million contract, Jonathan Jones of CBSSports.com reports. Fries missed the final 12 games of the season in 2024 after suffering a broken tibia in Week 5, but the move signals that Minnesota believes he'll be at full strength in time to play in the upcoming campaign. He projects to start at left guard in 2025.

  • Colts' Will Fries: Moved to IR

Fries (lower leg) was placed on injured reserve Monday. Fries' move to IR was expected after the Penn State product suffered a fractured tibia in Week 5's loss to the Jaguars, which led to him undergoing surgery in Jacksonville on Sunday night. It's not clear yet how much time the 26-year-old will miss; however, his placement on injured reserve guarantees he'll be sidelined for at least the team's next four games, although his absence is likely to extend beyond that.

  • Colts' Will Fries: Taken off injury report

Fries is not on the injury report heading into Indianapolis' game against the Rams on Sunday. Fries has apparently overcome the cramps he was dealing with that caused him to miss time during last week's win against the Ravens. With Ryan Kelly (concussion) and Quenton Nelson (toe) both questionable, Fries could end up being counted on to anchor the interior of the line.

  • Colts' Will Fries: Exits early

Fries has left Sunday's game against the Ravens with cramps, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports. Fries is considered questionable to return, and Josh Sills has stepped in at right guard in his place.
