  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Snap count ticks down Thursday

Hill had a two-yard carry and added two receptions for 13 yards in Thursday's win over the Dolphins. Hill's 11 snaps marked a season low as Baltimore deployed Keaton Mitchell for roughly the same number of plays as the veteran. Lamar Jackson targeted Hill twice, and he managed to bring both in for receptions. Through eight games, Hill has just one game with more than 20 rushing yards, and his pass-catching has tapered off since the bye with just two combined targets in his last two games. Baltimore heads to Minnesota in Week 10.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Usage drops off in win

Hill had one carry for two yards and drew zero targets on 19 snaps in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Bears. Baltimore leaned on Derrick Henry as its primary running back Sunday, and even when Hill was on the field, he wasn't a featured part of the offense. Hill's usage is volatile week to week and depends on game scripts where Baltimore needs to utilize his blitz pickup and pass-catching skills. Another looming threat to Hill's usage was the reintroduction of Keaton Mitchell to the backfield. Mitchell played just seven snaps but had a strong usage rate with four carries for 43 yards. Hill's role won't be deleted from the offense because he offers elements that Henry and Mitchell don't, but his snap counts could take a hit going forward if Mitchell continues to shine.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Week 8 Adds (RB Preview)

Speaking of the Ravens, scored 9.4 or more points in two of his last three games and has at least three catches in four of his past five games. This looks more like a Derrick Henry game, or maybe a Lamar Jackson game, but Hill could see eight to 10 touches in a game that has an over/under of 50.5.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Five receptions in loss

Hill rushed the ball six times for 16 yards in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He added five receptions on six targets for 28 yards. The Ravens ran a run-heavy offense as long as possible, giving Hill a chance to mix in on possessions to relieve Derrick Henry. Hill saw a season-high six carries as a result, but he made a more significant impact as a pass catcher. His usage could change with the anticipated return of Lamar Jackson (hamstring) after the team's bye, but Hill has at least three catches in four of six games on the campaign.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Minimal usage in blowout loss

Hill had a three-yard carry and a nine-yard reception while playing 11 snaps in Sunday's 44-10 loss to the Texans. Though the Ravens were in a catch-up script for much of the game, Hill played his fewest snaps of the season by a wide margin. The veteran had played at least 40 percent of the snaps in the first four weeks before bottoming out with 30 percent on Sunday. Opportunities dried up as a result, as he had just one carry and two targets on the day. Baltimore's offense is in a tough spot as long as Lamar Jackson is sidelined, and the ripple effects fall across the skill players, including Hill. The Ravens host the Rams in Week 6

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Sleeper RBs

Hill has eight catches in the past two games for the Ravens on 10 targets, and he finished with 86 yards and a touchdown over that span. He also added three carries for 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 at Kansas City. If Baltimore falls behind in Week 5 against Houston, then Hill will likely see an increase in playing time, and Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is out. I like Hill as a flex option in PPR, and he should be a reliable weapon out of the backfield for new Ravens quarterback Cooper Rush.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Week 5 Adds (RB Preview)

As of Tuesday afternoon, we aren't projecting Lamar Jackson to play in Week 5. Bettors aren't either, and the Ravens are underdogs at home to the Texans. When the Ravens fall behind, Hill's snap share goes up. He's still just a flex in Week 5, but if you miss Woody Marks and are desperate for a PPR starter, Hill is probably your best bet.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Two touchdowns in blowout loss

Hill carried three times for 76 yards and a touchdown and added five receptions for 41 yards and another score in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Chiefs. Hill opened and closed the scoring Sunday. He punched in an 11-yard touchdown grab to cap off the Ravens' first drive, then finished with a 71-yard touchdown run to cut the Ravens' deficit to three scores with under two minutes to go. In between, Hill added a few short carries and receptions as the Ravens offense largely floundered. Hill out-snapped starting running back Derrick Henry 32 to 21, but the Ravens trailed from the second quarter onward and largely abandoned the running game.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

It feels like there could be negative game scripts coming for the Ravens with their defense struggling right now, as well as Lamar Jackson (hamstring) banged up. When Baltimore is trailing in games then it's bad for Derrick Henry and good for Hill, who just had three carries for 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 at Kansas City along with five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown on six catches. He now has eight catches for 86 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in his past two games, which were both losses. Hill could be a potential flex option in PPR moving forward, and he's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Targeted four times in loss

Hill caught three of four targets for 45 yards in Monday's 38-30 loss to the Lions. Hill was not used in the rushing attack for the first time this season, yet his four targets and 45 yards through the air were both season highs through three weeks. The veteran running back played 51 percent of the Ravens' offensive snaps, finishing ahead of Derrick Henry, who had a 49 percent snap share. As long as Henry stays healthy, however, Hill's minimal usage makes him difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production. The 27-year-old can be ignored for fantasy purposes when the Ravens visit the Chiefs in Week 4.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Makes three grabs Sunday

Hill had three carries for seven yards and caught all three of his targets for 18 yards Sunday against the Browns. Baltimore's run game was uncharacteristically shut down by the Browns on Sunday as Hill and Derrick Henry combined for 14 carries and 30 yards. Hill managed to contribute in the passing game with three grabs after being held to just one three-yard reception in the opener. His playing time remained in line with his Week 1 total as he played 22 snaps. His usage can vary week-to-week, but Hill's snap share sits in the 40 percent range.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Tough sledding in Buffalo

Hill had two carries for minus-14 yards and added a three-yard reception on two targets in Sunday's loss to the Bills. Hill had a healthy 45 percent snap share, but his usage was minimal as he had just four combined opportunities in 23 snaps. He had a mishap on one of his carries that resulted in a fumble and also had a target slip through his hands. Hill seems to be locked into a role as the passing down back who should see his share of targets as the season progresses -- he caught 42 passes in 2024 -- but rushing work will likely remain light. The Ravens host the Browns in Week 2.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Solid season from scrimmage

Hill finished the season with 47 carries for 228 yards and a touchdown while adding 42 catches for 383 yards and three touchdowns on 51 targets. The veteran was a valuable second option in the Baltimore backfield behind Derrick Henry this season with four combined touchdowns and new career highs across the board as a pass catcher. Hill's 42 receptions ranked 15th among running backs and his 383 receiving yards ranked 11th at his position as well. He also provided some tough running in Baltimore's playoff loss to Buffalo with 50 yards on six attempts. Hill inked a two-year extension in September 2024 and projects to be back with his $2.4M cap hit in 2025. It will be interesting to see how Hill's role changes, if at all, with Keaton Mitchell back to full speed after missing much of the season recovering from a knee injury that ended his 2023 campaign.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Ready for wild-card round

Hill (concussion) does not carry an injury designation on Thursday's practice report and will be available for Saturday's wild-card round matchup against the Steelers. Hill, who missed Baltimore's final two regular-season games, has now fully cleared the NFL's concussion protocol. He'll be available to contribute out of the backfield behind Derrick Henry during Saturday's game against the Steelers, as well as to field kick returns. Across 15 regular-season appearances, Hill rushed 47 times for 228 yards and one touchdown. He also secured a career-high 48 of 51 targets for 383 yards and another three scores.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Back practicing Tuesday

Hill (illness/concussion) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice. Head coach John Harbaugh indicated last Thursday that the illness rather than the concussion was the primary cause of the running back's continued absence, and Hill being back on the practice field Tuesday for the first time since Week 16 would seem to reinforce that, although Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic noted that he was sporting a non-contact jersey. As such, Hill may not have fully cleared the concussion protocol yet, but he'll have two more practices this week to show he's ready for Saturday's wild-card game versus Pittsburgh. If he's available this weekend, Hill would likely step in as the top change-of-pace option behind lead back Derrick Henry.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Won't play Saturday

Hill (illness/concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Browns. Though head coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism earlier in the week that Hill would be available Saturday, the running back wasn't able to practice Tuesday through Thursday after falling ill. He had missed the Ravens' Week 17 win over Houston after entering the NFL's concussion protocol, but Harbaugh said Thursday that Hill has recovered from the head injury, and the illness is what will cause the running back to sit out a second straight game. With Hill sidelined once again, Keaton Mitchell and Rasheen Ali are available to handle the backfield reps that don't go to starter Derrick Henry.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Not practicing Thursday

Hill (concussion/illness) wasn't present for practice Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. With Hill slated to record a third straight DNP listing, the running back's status for Saturday's game against the Browns is cloudy in advance of the Ravens' final Week 18 injury report. If Hill is unavailable this weekend, Keaton Mitchell likely would see added snaps behind top back Derrick Henry.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Not practicing yet

Hill (concussion/illness) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Hill hasn't practiced since suffering a concussion Week 16, but at this point, his absence may be due to an illness more so than the head injury, considering Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Hill is trending in the right direction for Saturday's game against Cleveland. The running back has three more days to recover from his illness and clear concussion protocol before Baltimore's regular-season finale.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Week 18 Waiver Priority List

Hill is expected to play in Week 18 against Cleveland after missing Week 17 at Houston with a concussion. He'll likely resume his role as the change-of-pace running back with Derrick Henry, and if the Ravens are beating the Browns late in the game, we could see Hill get additional touches when Henry goes to the bench. Prior to getting hurt, Hill had scored at least 14.2 PPR points in two of his past three games.

  • Ravens' Justice Hill: Misses another practice

Hill (concussion/illness) didn't participate in practice Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Hill is trending toward being available for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Browns, after the running back sat out the team's Week 17 win over the Texans with a concussion. Though Hill is seemingly on the cusp of exiting the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, an unrelated illness has kept him off the field for practice. Hill will likely need to log some practice activity Wednesday and/or Thursday in order for Harbaugh's prediction to come to fruition.
