Fantasy News

  • Cowboys' Robert Rochell: Returns from hamstring injury

Rochell recorded seven total tackles and intercepted a pass in Friday's 31-13 preseason victory over the Falcons. Rochell suffered a hamstring injury during Dallas' first preseason contest. He played a significant role in his return, logging 54 total snaps (44 on defense). Rochell appears unlikely to make the roster but could carve out a role on special teams.

  • Cowboys' Robert Rochell: Not returning Saturday

Rochell (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Rochell picked up a hamstring injury Saturday, and Dallas won't risk him handling any further reps. He's competing for a reserve role in a Cowboys cornerback room currently battling a number of injuries.

  • Cowboys' Robert Rochell: Resurfaces with Cowboys

Rochell agreed to terms Wednesday on a one-year deal with Dallas, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Rochell began the offseason with a brief stint in Kansas City, but he was let go by the Chiefs shortly after the 2025 NFL Draft. He'll now compete for a depth role in the Cowboys' secondary. Between 2023 and 2024 in Green Bay, Rochell suited up for 20 regular-season games and contributed almost entirely on special teams.

  • Robert Rochell: Let go by Kansas City

The Chiefs waived Rochell on Monday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Rochell inked a one-year deal with Kansas City in late March, but the team's 2025 rookie class seems to have made his spot on the roster redundant. The cornerback played a notable role on special teams for Green Bay in 2023 and 2024, in which span he suited up for 20 regular-season games.

  • Chiefs' Robert Rochell: Links up with Kansas City

The Chiefs signed Rochell to a one-year contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Rochell suited up for 20 combined regular-season games with the Packers in 2023 and 2024, playing 233 snaps on special teams and just one snap on defense. He'll now compete to carve out a similar reserve role with Kansas City.

  • Robert Rochell: Dropped by Green Bay

The Packers waived Rochell (neck) on Monday. Rochell sustained a stinger in the Packers' Week 5 win over the Rams, but after getting cut Monday without an injury designation, it appears he's moved past the issue. The Central Arkansas product appeared in three games for the Packers this season, recording one tackle across 34 special-teams snaps. Rochell could very well end up back on Green Bay's practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • Packers' Robert Rochell: Questionable to return

Rochell (neck) is considered questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Rams. Rochell suffered a stinger in the first half versus Los Angeles and his status for the rest of the game is now up in the air. The 26-year-old operates primarily as a special-teams option, so his absence doesn't carry a massive impact on defense.

  • Packers' Robert Rochell: Will return to Lambeau

Rochell re-signed with the Packers on Tuesday. Rochell saw the field in nine regular-season games for the Packers last year, plus both postseason contests. He was primarily a special teams contributor, and his only defensive snaps (four) came in a wild-card win over the Cowboys. The 2021 fourth-round pick will attempt to earn a bigger role in the secondary in 2024.

  • Packers' Robert Rochell: Returns from one-game absence

Rochell (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Rochell missed the Packers' Week 16 win over the Panthers after sustaining a neck injury in practice leading up to that game. He was a limited participant in all three practices this week and will return to his special teams role for Week 17.

  • Rams' Robert Rochell: Pops up in concussion protocol

Rochell (concussion) is questionable to play Sunday against the Cardinals, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Rochell was listed as a DNP during practice Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness, but he was able to participate in a limited fashion Friday. However, the 6-foot-2 cornerback also landed in concussion protocol Friday, though it's unclear when or how this issue first arose. Rochell recorded three tackles while almost exclusively playing on special teams over the first eight games of the season, and he'll have just one more day to clear protocol ahead of Sunday's contest against Arizona.

  • Rams' Robert Rochell: Healthy ahead of training camp

Rochell (chest) is fully healthy in advance of training camp, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. Rochell carved out a sizable role as a rookie, but his first NFL season was cut short after suffering a rib injury in December. Per DaSilva, Rams head coach Sean McVay seems to think the second-year corner could be in store for a breakout campaign in 2022 now that he's fully healthy.

  • Rams' Robert Rochell: Clears COVID-19 protocols

Rochell (chest) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday but remains on IR. Rochell is no longer in the league's COVID-19 protocol, but he won't be eligible to return from his chest injury until Week 17 at the earliest. He has 14 tackles, four passes defensed and an interception this season.

  • Rams' Robert Rochell: Shifts to COVID list

Rochell (chest) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday. Rochell landed on injured reserve with the chest issue last week, but he's now been transferred to the COVID list. The 23-year-old will revert to injured reserve once he clears the health and safety protocols.

  • Rams' Robert Rochell: Still limited after wrist surgery

Rochell (wrist) is able to do a lot of individual drills at full speed, but he requires a cast when participating in full-speed drills with teammates, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. The fourth-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft projects to battle for playing time in a new-look Los Angeles secondary. Cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Darious Williams are set to retain their starting jobs with Rochell likely slotting into a supporting role.
