Drew Estrada: Waived by Houston
Estrada (Achilles) was waived by the Texans with an injury designation Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Estrada, who finished last season on Houston's practice squad IR, subsequently signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January, but now the 24-year-old is headed to waivers. Once he re-proves his health, the wideout will look to catch on with another team for the upcoming campaign.

Texans' Drew Estrada: Staying with Texans
Estrada (Achilles) signed a reserve/future contract with the Texans on Tuesday.
After Estrada suffered a torn Achilles and was placed on the Texans' practice squad injured list in October, the wide receiver will now get another shot with Houston in 2023. The 24-year-old has yet to make his NFL debut and will look to make a strong impression and garner a final roster spot once healthy.

Drew Estrada: Torn Achilles confirmed
Estrada was placed on the Texans' practice squad injured list Thursday after he tore his Achilles during Wednesday's practice, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Estrada is now expected to miss the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign after he suffered a torn Achilles in Wednesday's practice. The remaining receivers on Houston's practice squad are Jalen Camp, Davion Davis and Johnny Johnson.

Estrada sustained an injury during practice Wednesday and is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Further testing is still pending, but it appears the rookie UDFA from Baylor is likely to miss significant time. In the meantime, Houston's practice squad also holds wide receivers Jalen Camp, Davion Davis and Johnny Johnson.

Drew Estrada: Lands with Texans' practice squad
The Texans signed Estrada (leg) to their practice squad Wednesday.
Estrada sustained a leg injury in early August and didn't appear in any preseason games. However, he apparently did enough during the Texans' offseason program to land with the team's practice squad after missing out on the 53-man roster.

Estrada (leg) isn't expected to play in Thursday's preseason game against the 49ers, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Since he began to miss practice Aug. 9 due to a leg injury, Estrada hasn't taken any visible reps on the field and now will miss the entire preseason slate. The health concern likely means he's on the outside looking in as the Texans face down cut-down day Tuesday.
