Chiefs' Martinas Rankin: Returns from PUP list
Rankin (knee) was activated from the PUP list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The 26-year-old has been on the PUP list since early August while recovering from the knee injury, but he'll rejoin the active roster ahead of Week 10. Rankin started five games in 2019 before suffering the injury, and he could be a factor in the Chiefs' starting unit with Mitchell Schwartz (back) and Mike Remmers (ribs) battling injuries.

Rankin (knee) is believed to have suffered a season-ending injury to his patella during Sunday's 35-32 loss to the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Rankin plays a reserve role along Kansas City's offensive line, and injuries to Eric Fisher (groin) and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle) have thrust him into a core position in recent weeks. Texans' Martinas Rankin: Fills in at left tackle
Rankin stepped in at left tackle Sunday when Julie'n Davenport shifted to right tackle after Seantrel Henderson left the game with an ankle injury, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Rankin, a 2018 third-round draft pick out of Mississippi State, made his NFL debut and had some problems, which is not surprising given his lack of experience and the level of competition. He allowed one sack and acknowledged a need to improve his technique. Rankin also needs to establish chemistry with the unit because he didn't get many reps during preseason due to a foot injury. Henderson was placed on injured reserve and is done for the season, so the Texans will likely look at some free-agent linemen this week or bring someone up from the practice squad.

Rankin (foot) was activated from the PUP list Monday, the Texans' official site reports.
Rankin, who underwent surgery in mid-June to repair an injured foot, has passed his physical and will be eligible to return to practice. The third-round pick is slated to provide depth at left tackle upon his return to full strength.
