  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Out for Week 9

Miller (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Miller has just one catch for nine yards across six appearances this season. He's well off the fantasy radar behind DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson in the Steelers' wideout room.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Another DNP on Thursday

Miller (finger) remained a non-participant at Thursday's practice. Miller has been a non-participant in each of the Steelers' first two practices of Week 9, suggesting he's likely to miss a second consecutive game Sunday against the Colts due to a broken finger. Miller will have one more chance to practice in any capacity Friday.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Miller (finger) did not practice Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Miller broke his finger in practice during the Steelers' Week 8 prep, which prevented him from playing against the Packers on Sunday. He would have to return to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days in order to have a chance at playing in Week 9 against the Colts. Ben Skowronek (neck) will continue to see additional snaps at wide receiver for as long as Miller is sidelined.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: On mend from finger surgery

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Miller recently had his broken finger repaired, but how "functional" the wideout is during practice this week will determine whether he plays Sunday against the Colts, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Miller appeared to sustain the injury during practice last week, as he was a limited participant Thursday before sitting out Friday's session and then getting ruled out ahead of Sunday's loss to the Packers. The 28-year-old had suited up in each of the Steelers' first six games but had seen only light snaps on offense, totaling just one reception for nine yards on two targets.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Dealing with finger injury

Miller was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a finger injury, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. The injury appears to be a new issue for Miller, as he wasn't listed on Wednesday's practice report. His participation in Friday's practice will provide more clarity on his chances of playing against the Packers on Sunday. The 2019 sixth-rounder has served in a depth role at wide receiver this season, so a Week 8 absence would open the door to a slight uptick in offensive snaps for Ben Skowronek and Ke'Shawn Williams.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Logs one reception Thursday

Miller secured his lone target for nine yards during Thursday's 33-31 loss to Cincinnati. Miller was on the field for just eight offensive snaps Thursday after logging double-digit snaps in each of the team's last two games, but he still recorded his first reception of the season in the loss. Even though Calvin Austin (shoulder) remained sidelined for a second consecutive game Thursday, most of the Steelers' passing game flowed through DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the team's three tight ends, leaving minimal work for Miller and the rest of the team's wide receivers.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Effective in exhibition victory

Miller secured all three of his targets for 82 yards during the Steelers' 19-10 preseason win over Carolina on Thursday. Miller capped off an impressive preseason Thursday, as he recorded at least 38 receiving yards in each of his three appearances. In total, he secured all nine of his targets for 167 yards. Although the Steelers rested Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf throughout the preseason, it's possible that Miller's production earns him some playing time once the regular season gets underway, especially if the team doesn't acquire another receiver.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Re-signs with Pittsburgh

The Steelers are re-signing Miller on a one-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Miller appeared in 13 regular-season games with Pittsburgh in 2024, securing five of nine targets for 69 yards. He also contributed on special teams and spent time on the practice squad. He'll spend the offseason competing for a similar depth role with the team.

  • Scotty Miller: Reverts to practice squad

Miller reverted to the Steelers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Miller was not active for Saturday's wild-card game against the Ravens despite being elevated to the 53-man roster. The 2019 sixth-round pick appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Steelers and logged five catches (on nine targets) for 69 yards. Miller will explore his options during the offseason and will look to join a team in need of depth at wide receiver.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Not playing against Baltimore

Miller (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's wild-card game against the Ravens, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Miller was elevated from the Steelers' practice squad to the active roster earlier Saturday, but the veteran wideout will observe the contest in street clothes. He would have a chance to play in the divisional round should the Steelers take care of business Saturday.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Elevated for wild-card matchup

The Steelers elevated Miller from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports. Miller was waived by Pittsburgh on Thursday, but he was re-signed to the practice squad two days later and was subsequently elevated to the active roster. The veteran wide receiver played in 13 regular-season contests for the Steelers this season, tallying five catches on nine targets for 69 yards. Miller should continue serving in a depth wideout role in Saturday's wild-card contest against Baltimore with the Steelers' receiver corps in good health.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Tallies 38 receiving yards

Miller secured three of four targets for 38 yards during Sunday's 27-14 win over the Browns. Miller didn't see the field in either of Pittsburgh's last two games, but he played 52 percent of the team's offensive snaps Sunday since George Pickens (hamstring) was inactive. Miller recorded his first catches since Week 3, but it seems unlikely that he'll maintain a role once Pickens is back to full health.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Won't play Week 12

Miller (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday night's game against Cleveland. Miller played eight snaps (seven on offense, one on special teams) during the Steelers' 18-16 win over the Ravens this past Sunday, but he did not register a stat in that contest. He'll be a healthy inactive for Thursday's game, and his next chance to play will be Week 13 against the Bengals on Sunday, Dec. 1.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Healthy scratch for Week 10

Miller (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports. With Mike Williams making his Steelers debut Sunday and Ben Skowronek back from injured reserve, Miller will be a healthy scratch for the first time this year. Miller has failed to register a catch since Week 3 against the Chargers, during which he caught two passes for 31 yards.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: No targets against Raiders

Miller failed to record a single target in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders. Miller played just 14 of the Steelers' 67 offensive snaps Sunday, operating as the No. 4 receiver behind George Pickens, Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin. The veteran wideout has now failed to record a target in five out of six games so far in 2024. Miller should be ignored for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Jets.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Logs two receptions in Week 3

Miller secured both of his targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 20-10 win over the Chargers. Miller wasn't targeted over the first two weeks of the regular season, but his snap count increased against the Chargers, as he was on the field for 37 offensive snaps after playing no more than 17 in either of his first two appearances of the season. Although the 2019 sixth-rounder had an encouraging performance in Sunday's win, it appears as though he'll have an inconsistent role in the Steelers' offense this year.

  • Steelers' Scotty Miller: Tallies three receptions in loss

Miller secured three of four targets for 47 yards during Friday's 20-12 preseason loss to the Texans. Miller joined the Steelers on a one-year deal in May and is competing for a depth role at wide receiver after the team lost Diontae Johnson, Allen Robinson and Miles Boykin during the offseason. Miller made a solid first impression during Friday's preseason opener, as he tied for the team lead in receptions and finished second in receiving yards, fueled by a 38-yard catch to begin the fourth quarter. The 2019 sixth-rounder appeared in all 17 regular-season games during his lone season in Atlanta last year but secured just 11 of his 16 targets for 161 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn't topped 200 receiving yards in a season since the 2020 campaign in which he was catching passes from Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, so even if Miller lands a spot on the Steelers' 53-man roster this year, he seems unlikely to be an appealing fantasy option.

  • Steelers' Scott Miller: Lands in Pittsburgh

Miller agreed to terms Wednesday on a one-year contract with the Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Miller reunites with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in Pittsburgh, after he logged a 11-161-2 receiving line across 17 appearances in 2023 in Atlanta, where Smith had served as the head coach. The wideout now gets a chance to compete with names like Quez Watkins, Denzel Mims, Marquez Callaway and Dez Fitzpatrick for a depth role with the Steelers this offseason.

  • Falcons' Scott Miller: Scores twice in 2023

Miller finished 2023 with 11 receptions for 161 yards and two touchdowns across 17 appearances. After four years in Tampa Bay, Miller signed a one-year deal to join the Falcons last offseason. It took the speedster until Week 5 to record his first catch with Atlanta, and despite carving out a role after that, he posted modest production, totaling nine catches (14 targets) for 95 yards from Weeks 5 to 17. Miller flashed in the season finale, catching both of his targets for a season-high 66 yards, but it wasn't enough to salvage his fantasy campaign. Miller is one of a handful of Falcons wideouts set to be unrestricted free agents this offseason, so whomever replaces Arthur Smith may have a completely revamped pass-catching corps behind Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson.
... See More ... See Less
  • Falcons' Scotty Miller: Non-factor in loss

Miller caught one of two targets for four yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders. The Falcons were surprisingly pass-happy against Washington, which allowed Miller to play a season-high 28 offensive snaps. His production was still muted, so he doesn't have much fantasy value for the moment. However, he is a player to keep an eye on, as he appears to be closing in on the No. 2 wideout role currently occupied by Mack Hollins. Hollins has seen fewer snaps over the last two weeks while Miller's role has increased, but it'll be difficult for either player to carve out strong production as long as Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and Drake London are available.
