Johnson (undisclosed) has reverted to the Lions' injured reserve list, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Johnson's placement on the list means he'll spend the remainder of the 2018 on the sidelines, barring an injury settlement with the team.

Toby Johnson: Waived by Detroit
Johnson (undisclosed) was waived Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Johnson is one of the early victims from Lions camp. With 53-man roster cutdowns on the horizon, Detroit likes what it has in Sylvester Williams and A'Shawn Robinson ahead of a 26-year-old with minimal professional experience.

Johnson was claimed by the Panthers on Thursday, the team's official site reports.
Johnson played in two games for the Vikings in 2016, recording two tackles in that span. He'll look to make the Panthers' roster as a backup lineman and special teams player in 2017.

Johnson was waived by the Vikings on Wednesday.
The Vikings signed former Bears defensive lineman Will Sutton on Wednesday and determined he offered more upside in a reserve role than Johnson, who was cut in a corresponding move to open up a roster spot. Johnson appeared in two games for the Vikings as a rookie last season, logging two tackles.

Johnson was promoted to the Vikings' active roster Monday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
The Vikings were hoping Sharrif Floyd (knee) would have been able to return at some point this season after requiring knee surgery in September, but it appears they ultimately lost patience and decided to allocate his roster spot to a player in full health, which is where Johnson comes into play.
