  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Handles seven carries in loss

Mostert rushed seven times for 22 yards in Sunday's 40-6 loss to the Colts. Mostert played 47 percent of the Raiders offensive snaps Sunday, a major increase in playing time compared to his 15 percent snap share in Week 4 when he made his season debut. Through two games, the veteran running back has recorded just 11 carries for 84 yards, adding one catch for 11 yards. With Ashton Jeanty handling the bulk of the backfield duties for the Raiders, Mostert remains nothing more than an insurance policy behind the rookie. Next up for the Raiders is a home matchup against the Titans' vulnerable run defense in Week 6.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Productive in backup role

Mostert rushed four times for 62 yards and caught his only target for 11 yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears. He also returned four kickoffs for 96 yards. Mostert's 2025 debut with the Raiders was highlighted by a 37-yard carry in the fourth quarter, though he ultimately played just eight offensive snaps. Meanwhile, rookie Ashton Jeanty erupted for a 21-138-1 rushing line to go along with a pair of receiving touchdowns on as many targets. Zamir White was a healthy scratch, and Mostert likely flashed enough productivity in his audition to retain the RB2 role ahead of a Week 5 clash against the Colts.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Healthy scratch again

Mostert (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Chargers. The veteran running back will be in street clothes for a second-straight week. It seems that Mostert is unlikely to suit up on game day unless Ashton Jeanty, Zamir White or Dylan Laube were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension. Mostert's next chance to play is Week 3 against the Commanders on Sunday, Sept. 21.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Not playing Week 1

Mostert (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against New England. Mostert's inactive status comes as a surprise, as he's not known to be dealing with an injury and was listed as the Raiders' RB2 or RB3 on the team's initial Week 1 depth chart, per Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. With Mostert out of action, Las Vegas will go with Zamir White and Dylan Laube as the active running backs behind rookie starter Ashton Jeanty.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Active in passing game Saturday

Mostert gained nine yards on three carries in a preseason loss to the 49ers on Saturday. He added three receptions on four targets for 16 yards. Mostert logged fewer carries and yards than both Ashton Jeanty (7-33-1) and Chris Collier (4-26-0), but he led all Raiders running backs in targets, catches and receiving yards. He's never been a prolific receiver out of the backfield, but he may need to do more of that work this season to be at all productive with Jeanty likely to be a workhorse back for the Raiders. As it stands, Mostert is not guaranteed to be the team's No. 2 RB -- Zamir White and Sincere McCormick are also vying for that role.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Falls behind Jeanty

Mostert will be joined by No. 6 overall pick Ashton Jeanty in a new-look Raiders backfield. The Raiders never figured to settle for the 33-year-old Mostert as their lead back, unchallenged, but there was at least some chance he'd compete to be 1A in a committee. He instead figures to be purely a backup, behind one of the best RB prospects in recent memory. The good news for Mostert is weak competition for backup roles, with the Raiders otherwise rostering Zamir White (quadriceps), Sincere McCormick (ankle), Dylan Laube and Chris Collier.

  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Links up with Las Vegas

Mostert is signing a one-year contract with the Raiders, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. The soon-to-be 33-year-old will join a new-look Vegas offense with Geno Smith at quarterback and Chip Kelly calling plays. It's about the best landing spot possible in terms of opportunity to earn snaps and touches, as the Raiders had arguably the worst backfield in the league last year and haven't signed any other free agents so far this offseason. Of course, more help likely is on the way, be it in the coming weeks via free agency or at the end of April during the NFL Draft. Mostert and Kelly briefly worked together in Philadelphia (2015) and San Francisco (2016), but at a point in Mostert's career when he was struggling to stick around the league and mostly playing special teams.

  • Raheem Mostert: Officially released by Miami

The Dolphins released Mostert on Friday. This was the expected move after Mostert's agent, Brett Tessler, announced it was going to happen earlier in the day Friday. Mostert turns 33 years old in April and is coming off a down 2024 season, rushing 85 times for 278 yards and two touchdowns across 13 games, just one year after leading the NFL with 18 rushing scores. The move clears over $2.97 million in cap space for the Dolphins. De'Von Achane and Jaylen Wright currently sit atop the depth chart in the backfield for Miami, and Mostert will look for another team as a free agent.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Expected to be released by Miami

The Dolphins informed Mostert that he will be released this offseason, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The move isn't yet official, but the Dolphins have informed Mostert's agent, Brett Tessler, of the impending move. It's a no-brainer for Miami and will clear more than $2.97 million against the salary cap. Mostert is coming off an extremely down year, rushing just 85 times for 278 yards and two touchdowns across 13 games just one season after leading the NFL with 18 rushing scores. De'Von Achane took over clear RB1 duties for the Dolphins, and even Jaylen Wright was playing ahead of Mostert for much of the year. Mostert turns 33 years old in April and may be running out of gas at this stage of his career.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Plays one offensive snap in finale

Mostert played one snap on offense and did not log a carry or target during Sunday's 32-20 loss to the Jets. He also played one snap on special teams. Mostert's disastrous 2024 campaign ended on a fittingly quiet note, as he totaled 85 carries for 278 yards and two touchdowns across 13 regular-season appearances. The veteran running back also secured 19 of 23 targets for 161 yards. Mostert's production totals in 2024 stand as a sharp contrast to his 2023 numbers, in which he scored 21 times and surpassed 1,000 yards. The 32-year-old remains under contract with Miami for 2025, but the Dolphins have the option of a potential out for only $1 million in dead cap.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Inefficient in Week 17 win

Mostert rushed six times for three yards during Sunday's 20-3 win over Cleveland. He also secured both of his targets for 16 yards. Mostert, De'Von Achane and Jeff Wilson were all inefficient out of the backfield versus the Browns, despite a game script in which Miami got out to an early lead and would have benefited from an ability to lean on the run. He'll attempt to bounce back Week 18 against the Jets, a divisional matchup in which a win could provide the Dolphins with a playoff berth.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Double-digit touches in Week 16 win

Mostert carried the ball eight times for 31 yards and caught both his targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 39-17 win over the 49ers. De'Von Achane (190 scrimmage yards and one touchdown on 24 touches) remains the clear lead option out of the backfield for Miami, but Mostert has reclaimed his grip on the No. 2 role since returning from a one-game absence due to a hip injury. He'll again help complement Achane on the road against Cleveland in Week 17.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Musters 21 total yards in return

Mostert rushed six times for eight yards and brought in all three targets for 13 yards in the Dolphins' 20-12 loss to the Texans on Sunday. Mostert made his return from a one-game absence due to a hip injury, and he finished with his third single-digit rushing yardage total in the last four games. Mostert's reception total was a new season high, yet it's clear he's a distant second fiddle, at best, to De'Von Achane in Miami's unproductive ground attack barring an injury to the latter.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Cleared to play Week 15

Mostert (hip) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Texans and is expected to play, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. After limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Mostert got in a full session Friday and is ready to return following a one-game absence. It's been a challenging 2024 for the 32-year-old running back, as he's compiled a 65-236-2 rushing line while averaging a career-low 3.6 yards per carry. He'll help spell De'Von Achane versus Houston.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Optimism for Week 15

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday he's "optimistic" Mostert (hip) will be able to play Sunday versus the Texans, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. Mostert has been limited in practice as of late due to a hip injury, the same issue that forced him to sit out Week 14 against the Jets. Even if he's active at Houston on Sunday, Mostert's opportunity share isn't guaranteed to bring fantasy relevance. The veteran back has combined for just 10 carries for 22 yards across his last four appearances, in addition to five grabs for 46 yards on seven targets.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Remains limited at practice

Mostert (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Mostert was a limited participant in practice throughout last week before he was inactive for Sunday's overtime win over the Jets. With that in mind, he'll likely need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday in order to approach this weekend's game against the Texans without an injury designation. If Mostert remains sidelined, however, added snaps out of the backfield would be available to reserve backs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson.
... See More ... See Less
  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Officially inactive

Mostert (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets. Mostert practiced in limited fashion throughout the week, but that won't be enough for him to suit up for Miami's Week 14 divisional matchup. De'Von Achane will continue to handle the majority of touches out of the backfield, though Jaylen Wright should see a bump in his role.
... See More ... See Less
  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Questionable after limited practice

Mostert (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Mostert was limited in all three of Miami's practices during the week. If Mostert's unable to play Sunday, rookie Jaylen Wright would complement lead back De'Von Achane in Miami's backfield, with Jeff Wilson on hand for depth.
... See More ... See Less
  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Week 14 Waiver Priority List

Mostert appears back as the No. 2 running back in Miami after he had seven total touches in Week 13 at Green Bay, while Jaylen Wright didn't touch the ball. That said, should something happen to De'Von Achane, both running backs would probably work in tandem for the Dolphins, so it's likely a fluid situation. It's still a good idea to stash Mostert for 1 percent of your remaining FAB, and he could also be a potential flex option in deeper leagues in Week 14 with a favorable matchup against the Jets at home.
... See More ... See Less
  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Leading rusher in Week 13 loss

Mostert rushed five times for 19 yards during the Dolphins' 30-17 loss to the Packers on Thursday. He also caught two of three targets for 15 yards. Mostert was Miami's best option on the ground during Thursday's underwhelming loss, and he also had a 26-yard stiff-arm run wiped out by a holding penalty late in the third quarter. It was notable to see Mostert retake the No. 2 role from rookie Jaylen Wright, but he remains a lackluster fantasy option heading into a Week 14 home game against the Jets. Through nine games this season, Mostert has only compiled 236 rushing yards on 65 carries (3.6 YPA), with two touchdowns.
