Leonard reached an injury settlement with Washington during final roster cuts in order to avoid spending the year on injured reserve. It is unclear what issue he was dealing with, but his work out with the Falcons indicates he is over it.

Leonard (undisclosed) cleared waivers Friday after he was waived from Washington's injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday.
Leonard would have been forced to miss the entire 2021 campaign since he was placed on IR prior to Sept. 1. However, he'll be eligible to take the field if he lands a contract with another team this year.
