Barnett and the Browns agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $5.5 million Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
The move fortifies the Browns' depth at defensive end after Alex Wright (Achilles) was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Barnett appeared in 17 regular-season games for the Texans in 2025, finishing with 21 tackles (13 solo), including 5.0 sacks. Texans' Derek Barnett: Two sacks in victory
