Bears' Cairo Santos: Blocked kick in close loss
Santos made one of his two field-goal attempts in the Bears' 9-3 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Santos converted a 50-yard field-goal attempt on the Bears' first drive of the game, resulting in the team's only points throughout the contest. The kicker had a chance to tie the game at six points in the fourth quarter, but the 23-yard attempt was blocked by Isaiah Rodgers. Santos has made two of his three field goals this season and all eight of his PATs through two weeks.

Bears' Cairo Santos: Makes eight PATs in dominant win
Santos made his sole field-goal attempt and converted eight PATs in Sunday's 59-37 win over the Panthers.
Santos was only called upon for a 40-yard field goal, but the kicker's consistency netted the Bears a total of 11 points. The 34-year-old made all 39 of his point-after attempts in 2025 and has continued that streak through a Week 1 offensive masterclass in 2026.

Bears' Cairo Santos: One misfire in preseason loss
Santos connected on field-goal attempts of 45, 26 and 44 yards and missed wide right from 53 yards in the Bears' 27-9 preseason loss to the Bengals on Saturday.
The veteran kicker's one miss is somewhat excusable given the distance, as well as his accuracy on the three attempts that preceded it. The veteran, who's now 5-for-7 on field goals and 4-for-4 on PATs through two preseason games, is set to serve as the Bears' placekicker for the seventh straight season following a 2025 campaign in which he connected on 83.3 percent of his 30 field-goal attempts and all 39 of his point-after tries across 15 regular-season games.

Bears' Cairo Santos: Looks to be No. 1 kicker for 2026
Santos currently doesn't have any viable competition for the role of Chicago's primary placekicker, Alyssa Barbieri and Brendan Sugrue of Bears Wire report.
Santos had an uneven 2025 season, making just 25 of 30 field-goal attempts, including going 4-for-6 from 50-plus yards. However, he made all 39 of point-after tries and hit several clutch FGs, including a game-winning 48-yard kick as time expired against Minnesota in Week 11. With that said, the 12-year veteran doesn't have anywhere near the strongest leg in the league, and he missed a pair of contests last year due to a thigh injury. The Bears don't currently have another kicker on the roster, so Santos looks set to open 2026 as the team's primary option at that position. However, Barbieri and Sugrue suggest Chicago could move on at some point given Santos' lack of a big leg, which puts him behind most top kickers in the league.

Bears' Cairo Santos: No opportunities in finale
Santos did not attempt a kick in the Bears' 19-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Santos provided a stable weekly fantasy floor across the season, scoring fewer than six points in only two games while finishing with a high of 13 points. However, his efficiency continued to trend down after failing to top 84.0 percent accuracy for the second straight year. He is signed with Chicago through 2027 but offers limited upside relative to other fantasy kickers.

Santos made all three of his field-goal tries and his only extra-point attempt Saturday in a 22-16 overtime win against Green Bay.
Weather conditions were far from ideal for kickers, as high winds provided a significant challenge. That made Santos' accuracy all the more impressive -- his field-goal makes were far from chip shots, coming from 46, 51 and 43 yards out. Santos has made 24 of 29 FG tries and 34 of 34 PATs though 13 games on the season (he missed two games earlier in the campaign due to a thigh injury).

Santos went 1-for-2 on field-goal tries and made all four of his PATs in Sunday's 31-3 win over the Browns.
Santos hit the right upright on a 35-yard field-goal attempt, notching his first miss since Week 11. The kicker later redeemed himself with a 41-yard make in the fourth quarter. On the year, Santos has now gone 21-for-26 on field-goal tries, including 3-for-5 from 50-plus yards, while converting all 33 of his extra-point attempts over 12 contests.

Santos hit both field-goal attempts and his only extra-point try in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Packers.
Santos hit from 33 yards in the second quarter and 41 in the third. A tough matchup against a good defense and a two-point conversion by his own team limited his extra-point opportunities, though. The Bears face another tough defense, Cleveland, in Week 15.

Bears' Cairo Santos: Perfect in road win
Santos made his only field-goal attempt and all three of his extra-point tries during Friday's 24-15 win at Philadelphia.
Santos wasn't asked to do much on a chilly November day against the Eagles, as his only field-goal try came from just 30 yards out. He remains perfect for the season on field goals from within 40 yards and on point-after attempts. The Bears will take on one of the league's best defenses in Green Bay in Week 14, likely putting a cap on his fantasy upside.

Santos made his lone field-goal attempt and all four of his extra-point tries in Chicago's 31-28 win over the Steelers on Sunday.
Santos drilled a 47-yard field goal at the end of the first half to give the Bears a 21-17 lead going into the locker room. On the season, Santos has made 17 of 21 field-goal tries and all 25 of his extra points. Santos doesn't have a huge leg but is typically pretty consistent from inside 50 yards. The Bears travel to Philadelphia on Black Friday for Week 13.
