  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Dealing with knee issue

Jones was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. After sitting out Week 4 with a concussion, Jones returned to action this past Sunday against the Titans and gathered in two of three targets for eight yards on a 50 percent snap share. With a new health concern in tow, his status will be watched as the week continues to get a sense of his odds to play Sunday at Indianapolis.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Catches two passes in loss

Jones caught two of three targets for eight yards in the Cardinals' loss to the Titans on Sunday. Jones returned from his one-week absence due to a concussion and played 50 percent of the offensive snaps. He has an uninspiring 5-37-0 receiving line on seven targets across four games this season and is well off the fantasy radar.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Out of concussion protocol

Jones (concussion) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Titans, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Jones sat out Week 4 against the Seahawks due to a concussion, but after following up Wednesday's limited practice with back-to-back uncapped sessions, he's progressed enough to gain clearance from an independent neurologist. He'll slot back in as Arizona's No. 3 WR behind Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson on Sunday, but Jones has put together just a 3-29-0 line on four targets in three appearances this season.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Logs full practice Thursday

Jones (concussion) practiced in full Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Jones was diagnosed with a concussion following a Week 3 loss at San Francisco and sat out last Thursday's game against the Seahawks, but he made clear progress through the protocol for head injuries this week, logging a limited session Wednesday and an uncapped practice one day later. He'll still need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist in order to be available Sunday versus the Titans.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Gets back to limited practice

Jones (concussion) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. After coming out of a Week 3 loss in San Francisco with a concussion, Jones didn't practice last week in advance of being inactive Thursday against the Seahawks. Logging some on-field work Wednesday is a step in the right direction as he makes his way through the protocol for head injuries, but he likely will need to progress to full by week's end in order to avoid a designation for Sunday's game versus the Titans.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: In concussion protocol

Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that Jones emerged from Sunday's loss in San Francisco with a concussion, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. Gannon added that the injury occurred on the Cardinals' last offensive play, which was a Kyler Murray deep shot to Jones at the two-minute warning. Jones logged 33 of 66 snaps on offense Week 3 en route to two catches (on three targets) for 25 yards. With a short week to prepare for Thursday's game against the Seahawks, he'll likely be hard-pressed to make his way through the protocol for head and injuries and suit up for Week 4 action.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Not involved against Panthers

Jones failed to record a single target in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Panthers. Jones was a complete nonfactor against Carolina despite playing 51 percent of the Cardinals' offensive snaps in the contest. With Arizona's aerial attack mostly going through Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison, Jones has been left with little to no action while competing for leftover targets with fellow wideouts Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch. Nonethless, the 30-year-old veteran will have his next opportunity to be involved in a Week 3 matchup against the 49ers.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: One target in Week 1

Jones caught his only target for four yards during Sunday's 20-13 win in New Orleans. Jones ranked third among Cardinals wide receivers in offensive snap share with 47 percent behind Marvin Harrison (89 percent) and Michael Wilson (67 percent). Unsurprisingly, Harrison led the way with 5-71-1 on six targets, while Jones nearly matched Wilson's 1-5-0 line (on four targets). In an offense dominated by TE Trey McBride, Harrison and RB James Conner when it comes to looks from QB Kyler Murray, Jones is merely provided with scraps with which to produce.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: First-teamer on initial depth chart

Jones is listed among the first-team offense on the Cardinals' first unofficial depth chart of training camp, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. Such depth charts need to be taken with a grain of salt, considering they're put together by media relations staff. Nevertheless, it's somewhat notable to see Jones listed ahead of Greg Dortch. Jones managed just eight catches and 240 offensive snaps in 11 games last season, as opposed to Dortch's 37 and 407, respectively, in 17 contests. Dortch operates primarily out of the slot however, so the fact he's listed as the No. 2 in that spot indicates Michael Wilson (concussion) may see a fairly even split between outside and slot reps in 2025. In such a scenario, Jones would line up outside opposite Marvin Harrison (knee/illness).

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Career-worst campaign in 2024

Jones notched eight catches (on 11 targets) for 84 yards and no touchdowns in 11 contests during the 2024 regular season. Jones' season debut was delayed by a five-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and a subsequent one-game roster exemption. Upon suiting up in Week 7, he logged just two targets over four outings before the Cardinals' Week 11 bye and nine targets thereafter. Overall, he reached double-digit receiving yards in a game just three times, posting his lowest yardage total since 2020 (154 as a member of the Raiders). The soon-to-be 30-year-old is an unrestricted free agent in March, and his recent lack of production won't draw much interest on the open market.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Nonfactor in Week 7

Jones failed to secure his lone target in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers. Jones made his season debut Monday after missing the first six games of the campaign, albeit it in a limited role. The veteran wideout played just 11 of the Cardinals' 57 offensive snaps in the contest behind fellow receivers Marvin Harrison (48), Michael Wilson (44) and Greg Dortch (17). Buried on Arizona's depth chart as a member of an inconsistent passing attack, Jones should remain far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Dolphins.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Full practice Thursday

Jones (hamstring) was a full practice participant Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. After missing the first six games of the campaign, five of them due to a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Jones now has a clear runway to a role in Arizona's offense. With Marvin Harrison (concussion) and Michael Wilson (ankle) both limited to kick off Week 7 prep, Jones is getting valuable reps in team drills, which may translate to the field Monday against the Chargers.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Back on active roster

The Cardinals lifted Jones' (hamstring) one-game roster exemption Monday. The wideout was handed a five-game suspension Aug. 23 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, but he'll now join the Cardinals' active roster for the first time this season. The ban actually was lifted last Monday, but Arizona was granted the roster exemption at the same time. He picked up a hamstring injury last Thursday, which was enough for the team to use the exemption and hold him out Sunday at Green Bay. The Cards play next Monday against the Chargers, but the hamstring issue could still get in the way of Jones making his Arizona debut.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Limited by hamstring

Jones (suspension) was limited at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports. Reinstated from his five-game suspension to begin the season on Monday, Jones then had a one-game roster exemption placed on him by the Cardinals, giving the team until Monday, Oct. 14 to bring him back to the active roster. Arizona released WR Chris Moore on Wednesday, thereby opening up an immediate roster spot for Jones, but the latter now is dealing with a health concern of unknown severity. Arizona can clear up any questions about Jones' status for Week 6 on Friday's injury report, but he'll need to have the exemption removed by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET to have any chance to play Sunday at Green Bay.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Suspended five games

Jones has been suspended for the first five games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN, Jones -- whose suspension stems from an arrest Nov. 13 -- will be eligible for reinstatement Oct. 7 following the Cardinals' Week 5 game against the 49ers. As a result, the soonest Jones will be able to see regular-season action is Oct. 13 against the Packers. With Jones slated to be unavailable out of the gate this season, Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch are in line to head the team's WR corps beginning Sept. 8 against the Bills.

  • Cardinals' Zay Jones: Mostly working with backups

Michael Wilson has been working ahead of Jones early in training camp, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. Jones still has time to make an impression this summer and potentially challenge Wilson or slot man Greg Dortch for a top-three role at wide receiver. However, the Cardinals might prefer to deploy Jones as an experienced backup who can fill in at multiple receiver spots, in which case any fantasy value would be contingent on Wilson, Dortch or third overall pick Marvin Harrison missing time/getting benched.

  • Jaguars' Zay Jones: No longer facing charges

The Duval County Clerk of Court announced that Jones had a misdemeanor domestic battery charge dismissed Tuesday, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports. Jones was arrested in November, and while the dismissal of legal charges represents a positive outcome for the receiver, he could still face a suspension for a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy. He has one year remaining on a three-year, $24 million contract with the Jaguars, though there's been speculation that he could be a cap casualty this offseason.

  • Jaguars' Zay Jones: Targeted nine times in finale

Jones caught six of nine targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 28-20 loss to the Titans. Jones played the most offensive snaps (66) of any Jaguars pass catcher Sunday in his return from a two-game absence with both knee and hamstring injuries. The veteran wideout's six receptions were a season high, and he concluded the campaign with 34 catches for 321 yards and two touchdowns across nine appearances. The 28-year-old will enter the final season of his three-year deal with Jacksonville in 2024, and his production could improve if he's able to maintain better health and if the Jaguars make no major additions to their pass-catching corps.

  • Jaguars' Zay Jones: Returning from two-game absence

Jones (knee/hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans. Jones was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, but he evidently demonstrated enough progress in his recovery from his respective lower-body injuries to make his return Sunday following a two-game absence. The Jaguars haven't indicated whether Jones will be in store for a full workload, but with Christian Kirk (groin) inactive for Week 18 despite being activated from injured reserve, the team won't have much established competition for reps behind No. 1 wideout Calvin Ridley. Jones will be making just his ninth appearance of the season Sunday, as knee issues also cost him time in Weeks 3 and 4 and Weeks 6 through 10.

  • Jaguars' Zay Jones: Looks set to play

Jones (hamstring/knee) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Jones is officially listed as questionable for the contest due to the pair of injuries, which prevented him from playing in Weeks 16 and 17. He was involved in each of the Jaguars' three practices this week, albeit as a limited participant. Jones seems to have demonstrated enough progress to put himself on a path to play Sunday, but official word on his status won't arrive until Jacksonville releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. The 28-year-old has appeared in just eight games this season and is averaging 3.5 catches and 34.3 yards per contest while scoring two touchdowns.
