Jets' Nick Marshall: Waived by Jets
Marshall (suspension) was waived by the Jets on Thursday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Marshall spent the 2015 season with the Jaguars before spending last year with the Jets. He was merely a depth option for New York, appearing in eight games and recording five combined tackles. Marshall was recently suspended for the first four games of this coming season due to a violation of the league's performance-enhancing substances policy, which was likely another reason why he was cut.

Jets' Nick Marshall: Suspended four games
Marshall was suspended Friday for the first four games of the regular season due to a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Marshall, who played eight games for the Jets last year, will still be eligible to participate in all offseason activities and preseason games, but his punishment could really hurt his chances of making New York's regular-season roster.

Jets' Nick Marshall: Out against Bills
Marshall (hamstring) is inactive Sunday against the Bills.
This is the first absence for Marshall due to his current hamstring injury. The 24-year-old has only played special teams this season, so his absence won't open up much playing time for his fellow teammates.

Jets' Nick Marshall: Set to play Monday night
Marshall (ankle) does not appear on the Jets' injury report in advance of Monday night's game against the Colts, ESPN reports.
Marshall missed last week's matchup with the Patriots due to a sprained ankle, but was a full participant in Saturday's practice and is in line to play Monday night, barring a setback prior to kickoff.

Jets' Nick Marshall: Out Sunday
Marshall (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's tilt against the Patriots.
Marshall's high-ankle sprain will keep him sidelined in Week 12 along with fellow cornerback Marcus Williams, who's dealing with the same injury. With less depth in the secondary on Sunday, Darrelle Revis and Buster Skrine will be busy as the starting corners.

Jets' Nick Marshall: Dealing with high-ankle sprain
Marshall is currently suffering from a high-ankle sprain, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
The injury occurred in Sunday's loss to the Rams. The 24-year-old recorded one tackle during the contest. It is unclear how long, if at all, the 24-year-old is expected to be sidelined. Dexter McDougle and Darryl Roberts could see increased minutes providing cornerback depth if Marshall misses any time.

Jets' Nick Marshall: Acquired by Jets
Marshall was acquired by the Jets off the Jaguars' practice squad Wednesday.
Marshall is coming off a season where he appeared in 13 games with Jacksonville, recording a total of nine sacks on the year. He also served as the Jaguars' primary kickoff return man, where he averaged 26.6 yards per return. So, while he likely won't see much time on the field at cornerback, he has shown some promise in contributing on special teams.
