Daniels (groin) will not play against Miami on Thursday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Daniels only played in eight games last season for both Houston and Seattle, and his sample size is small: two receptions on two targets for 18 yards and zero touchdowns. Thursday was supposed to be a time to show he can make it as a depth receiver and specialist, but that will have to wait for now.

Daniels has bounced around the league since being selected in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft, spending time with the 49ers, Seahawks, Texans, Giants, and now Falcons. Originally a quarterback, Daniels has been transitioning to wide receiver/return specialist over the past few seasons. Daniels participated in his first practice with the Texans on Wednesday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Daniels, who was converted to a slot receiver and return man during his time with Seattle, is training at both wide receiver and quarterback with Houston but his main focus is at QB. If Brian Hoyer is not cleared from the NFL's concussion protocol this week, Daniels will be the top backup to Brandon Weeden in Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans.
