Stefon Diggs: Open to playing for Commanders
Diggs recently told FOX 5 Washington DC that he anticipates signing with a team soon and has interest in playing for the Commanders.
Diggs grew up in Gaithersburg, Md., played his college ball at the University of Maryland and still lives in the same area during the NFL offseason. The Commanders, meanwhile, have more than $40 million in cap space and lack experienced starters at wide receiver opposite Terry McLaurin. It's not hard to connect the dots, especially after Diggs told a Washington news program that a homecoming was one of the first things he thought about when the Patriots released him in March. The NFL recently closed its review of Diggs for an alleged December dispute with his private chef, and now that a suspension is off the table, it sounds like the Commanders have serious competition to sign the 32-year-old wideout. He was a highly efficient possession receiver in his lone season with New England, catching 85 of 102 targets (83.3 percent) for 1,013 yards in 17 regular-season games, albeit with just four TDs and a long gain of 34 yards.

Stefon Diggs: NFL closes personal conduct review
The NFL has closed its review of Diggs after determining that there was insufficient evidence of a personal conduct policy violation stemming from an alleged dispute with his private chef this past December, ESPN.com reports.
Friday's decision arrives after Diggs was found not guilty last month of assaulting his private chef in a pay dispute, but at the time of the verdict NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy noted that the matter remained "under review of the personal conduct policy." Diggs, who was released by the Patriots in March, has yet to catch on elsewhere, but on the heels of a 2025 regular season in which he recorded an 85-1,013-4 line on 102 targets in 17 games, the 32-year-old is a candidate to garner interest in the coming weeks from teams still seeking to bolster their WR corps.

Stefon Diggs: Unlikely to re-sign with Patriots
Head coach Mike Vrabel suggested Wednesday that the Patriots aren't interested in re-signing Diggs at the moment, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. "Right now, I don't think that that's something that I think we're exploring," said Vrabel. "But I would never say no."
This doesn't seem like a fit for either party after the Patriots added A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs this offseason, but Vrabel at least wants to leave the door open in case Diggs can't find a better opportunity in free agency. The 32-year-old was found not guilty in May on charges related to an alleged dispute with his former private chef, though there is still some chance of the NFL disciplining Diggs for the alleged incident. For now, he remains unsigned, with rumors often connecting him to receiver-needy teams like the Chiefs, Ravens, Commanders and Falcons.

Stefon Diggs: Found not guilty
Diggs was found not guilty Tuesday on charges related to an alleged dispute last December with his former private chef, ESPN.com reports.
The alleged incident led to charges of felony strangulation and a misdemeanor assault and battery charge, for which Diggs pleaded not guilty in February. The aforementioned trial lasted two days before a ruling occurred, but he now awaits potential league discipline under the personal conduct policy. The Patriots released Diggs on March 11 after a one-year stint with the team in which he put together an 85-1,013-4 line on 102 targets in 17 regular-season games, marking the seventh time in the past eight campaigns in which he surpassed 1,000 receiving yards.
