  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Perfect with ample opportunities

Fairbairn made all three field-goal attempts and all five extra-point tries in Sunday's 44-10 win over the Ravens. Two of Fairbairn's field goals came from 50 or more yards, while the other was good from 34. The kicker is now 11-for-13 on field goals and 9-for-9 on extra points in 2025. If the Texans' offense can keep it going two weeks from now against Seattle, Fairbairn is a viable fantasy option.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Makes two FGAs in Week 4

Fairbairn went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and made both of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Titans. Fairbairn made a 47-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 43-yarder in the second quarter before later missing a 54-yard attempt wide right in the third quarter. The kicker has now gone 8-for-10 on field-goal attempts, including 3-for-5 from 50-plus yards, over four games this season.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Limited action in Week 3

Fairbairn went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made his only PAT in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Jaguars. Fairbairn missed a 52-yard field goal in the first quarter before later connecting on a 27-yard attempt in the second quarter. The kicker has now gone 6-for-7 on field-goal tries, including 3-for-5 from 50-plus yards, while making both of his extra-point attempts over three games this season.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Connects on two FGAs in Week 2

Fairbairn went 2-for-2 on field-goal tries and made one PAT in Monday's 20-19 loss to the Buccaneers. Fairbairn made a 35-yard field goal in the first quarter before later adding a 53-yard make in the fourth. The kicker has now opened the season having gone 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts, including three makes from 50-plus yards, over two games.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Supplies all points Sunday

Fairbairn went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts during the Texans' 14-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday. The Texans' offense couldn't punch the ball into the end zone and finished with 265 total yards, but Fairbairn's boot kept Houston in the game. He opened things up with a 51-yard field goal in the first quarter for the game's first score, and after making a 45-yard try in the second quarter, he put the Texans up by two points with a 53-yard make as time expired in the first half. Fairbairn made a career-high 13 field goals from 50-plus yards in 2024, and that length will help the Texans stay competitive when the offense stalls outside the red zone.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Drills lone FGA

Fairbairn converted his lone field-goal attempt in Saturday's 20-10 preseason loss to Minnesota. Fairbairn drilled a 43-yarder for Houston's lone score in the second half. He's working with a new long snapper this season -- rookie Austin Brinkman -- after Jon Weeks moved on to the 49ers. Fairbairn has been one of the more consistent kickers the last few years, having converted 91.1 percent (92-of-101) of his FGA during that span. That includes 85.7 percent from beyond the 50-yard line.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Clears up cap space

Fairbairn agreed to terms Monday on a contract restructure with the Texans for the purpose of freeing up salary cap space, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Fairbairn's restructure converts part of his $4.73 million base salary into a $3.46 million signing bonus while adding multiple void years to the end of his deal. He still remains under contract through 2026 after having inked a a three-year extension last offseason. The 31-year-old converted 36 of 42 field-goal attempts and 34 of 36 extra-point tries across 17 regular-season appearances in 2024, though he struggled in Houston's divisional-round playoff loss to Kansas City. He remains positioned as the Texans' starting kicker.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: A day to forget in playoff loss

Fairbairn converted two of four field-goal attempts and missed his lone extra-point try in Saturday's 23-14 divisional-round playoff loss to Kansas City. Fairbairn missed badly on a 55-yard field-goal attempt, which appeared to have been impacted by the winds blowing through Kansas City. He also had an attempt blocked and shanked an extra-point try. During the regular season, Fairbairn connected at an 86-percent rate (36 of 42) on field goals, 94-percent (34 of 36) on extra points, and was tied for fifth among kickers with 142 points. The 30-year-old is normally a reliable kicker, and none of Saturday's miscues should impact his status in 2025, the second year of a three-year extension signed in March 2024.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Five points in Week 18

Fairbairn converted his lone field-goal attempt and two of three extra-point kicks in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Titans in Week 18. What had been a strong season for Fairbairn took a turn over the final stretch, partly due to Houston's sputtering offense. Week 18 marked the fourth consecutive game that Fairbairn finished with single-digit scoring. Through the first 13 games, he averaged 9.4 points per game, but he dropped to 5.0 per game over the final four contests. Houston's main skill players were limited Week 18, so it's not clear that the offense has cleaned up its act heading into next Saturday's home playoff game against the Chargers.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Shut out Week 17

Fairbairn did not attempt a field goal or extra point in Wednesday's 31-2 loss to the Ravens in Week 17. Houston eschewed field-goal attempts on its two red-zone opportunities and never had a need for Fairbairn beyond his one kickoff to open the game.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Misses extra point

Fairbairn converted both of his field-goal attempts and one of two extra-point kicks in Saturday's 27-19 loss to the Chiefs in Week 16. Fairbairn pushed his extra-point miss wide right, which left Houston vulnerable, down 17-16 early in the third quarter. It was his first XP miss of the season and had the potential to impact the eventual outcome. However, the Chiefs won the time-possession battle the rest of the way, and Houston's offense couldn't cash in on its lone red-zone appearance following Fairbairn's miss.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Another perfect week

Fairbairn converted both of his field-goal attempts and both extra-point kicks in Sunday's 20-12 win over Miami in Week 15. Fairbairn drilled one from 44 yards on Houston's first possession then was successful from 23 yards just before halftime. Since missing a short field-goal try that contributed to a loss in Week 12, Fairbairn made all five FGA and four XPA over the last two games.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Back on form

Fairbairn converted three of three field-goal attempts and two of two extra-point kicks in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Jaguars in Week 13. One week after missing a field goal that cost the Texans, Fairbairn was back to his normal self. He twice bailed out the offense, which scored one touchdown in three red-zone trips. Fairbairn also added another one from long distance, a 53-yarder early in the second quarter to open the game's scoring. He ranks second in the league among kickers with 122 points behind the Steelers' Chris Boswell (128).

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Ten points in win

Fairbairn converted both field-goal attempts and all four extra-point kicks in Monday's 34-10 win over the Cowboys in Week 11. Fairbairn made chip shots from 33 and 29 yards to improve to an 84-percent (26 of 31) success rate for the season. That's pretty good, considering how many he attempts from beyond the 50, but it's below what has been his norm the last two seasons. Fairbairn connected on 95 percent (56 of 59) of his kicks in 2022 and 2023 combined. Monday's 10 points was his eighth double-digit effort in 11 games and put him over the 100-point mark for the season.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Another productive week

Fairbairn converted all three field-goal attempts and both extra-point kicks in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Colts in Week 8. Rinse and repeat for Fairbairn, who recorded double-digit scoring for a fourth straight week and the sixth time in eight contests. The Texans had issues finishing drives in the red zone and settled for field goals on three of them. Fairbairn is averaging 9.3 points per game and has been successful on an impressive nine of 10 kicks from the 50 and beyond.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Another double-digit week

Fairbairn converted two of three field goals and all five extra-point kicks in Sunday's 41-21 win over New England in Week 6. Fairbairn drilled field goals from 39 and 46 yards but was wide right from 40 yards out on his first try of the day in the second quarter. It was the second straight week with 11 points for Fairbairn, who has four double-digit efforts through six games in 2024. He currently ranks fifth among kickers with 53 points.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Six points in win

Fairbairn successfully converted his lone field-goal attempt and all three extra-point kicks in Sunday's 24-20 win over Jacksonville in Week 4. Houston has been good at finishing drives once it's inside the red zone, but Fairbairn was needed Sunday to drill a 30-yard chip shot. It was his first FGA inside the 40 yard-line. After going for double-digit points the first two weeks, Fairbairn has been held to seven points the last two games.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Makes, misses FGA

Fairbairn made one of two field-goal attempts and two of two extra-point kicks in Thursday's 21-17 preseason loss to Chicago. Fairbairn connected on a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter, then missed from long distance -- 58 yards -- just before the game was suspended due to inclement weather. The Texans are confident in Fairbairn, who was unsuccessful on just one of his 28 attempts in 2023 and has a career 87.1 percent FGA success rate. Houston's potentially explosive offense should move Fairbairn up the kicker rankings.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Misses first kick since Week 2

Fairbairn converted his lone field-goal attempt and two of three extra-point kicks in Saturday's 23-19 win over the Colts in Week 18. Fairbairn converted from 51 yards, the fifth time in six attempts he's been successful from beyond the 50 and was wide left on the extra-point miss. The missed kick was his first of any kind since Week 2, when he was wide on a 51-yard FGA against the Colts. The five points scored Saturday gave him 102 in 12 games. It's the fifth time in seven seasons he's had at least 100 points.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Kicker to Start

Fairbairn was my start kicker in Week 17 against Tennessee, and I'm sticking with him again in Week 18 at Indianapolis. He had four field goals and two PATs against the Titans, and he didn't miss a kick for 16 Fantasy points. He was 2-of-3 on field goals and made two PATs in Week 2 against the Colts, and Indianapolis has allowed seven field goals and four PATs in the past two weeks against Younghoe Koo and Daniel Carlson.
