The punter and kickoff specialist has been serving in both roles consistently for the past 11 seasons with the 49ers, Buccaneers and Falcons. Pinion led the NFL with 36 punts inside the 20 in 2025. He should be in line to play a similar role for Miami.

Pinion was under the weather Friday, so the Falcons signed Pat O'Donnell to the practice squad and elevated him Saturday as an emergency option. However, Pinion is now healthy and will resume his usual duties versus Tennessee.

The Falcons re-signed Pinion to a three-year, $8.65 million contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Pinion's new deal includes $4.325 million in guaranteed money, and he's now slated to remain with Atlanta through the 2025 campaign. The 28-year-old averaged a career-best 45.9 yards per punt across 17 games played this past season.
