The Packers were interested in Harrison before he signed with the Seahawks. After the Seahawks cut him Monday, the Packers finally got their wish by scooping him off waivers. Depending on his COVID-19 testing, Harrison could be eligible to play in the season finale against the Bears. Seahawks' Damon Harrison: Set to be released next week
Seattle is expected to cut Harrison next week after the defensive tackle requested to be released by the team Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Harrison's request comes after the Seahawks informed him that he would be a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams. The 2016 first-team All-Pro apparently isn't viewed as one of Seattle's top three tackles, despite playing at least a quarter of the team's defensive snaps in each of his six appearances with the club. Harrison has tallied nine tackles and a forced fumble in those contests.

Harrison (ankle/knee) was clear of Thursday's injury report after being a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The one-time All-Pro made his fourth consecutive game appearance for the Seahawks during Week 13, collecting one tackle over 22 defensive snaps during a 17-12 loss to his former team of two and a half seasons. Harrison has seen a tempered defensive workload of 21.3 snaps per game during his debut campaign in Seattle, and his impact has thus far been minimal in 2020 with zero sacks or tackles for loss recorded.

Seahawks' Damon Harrison: Joins active roster
Harrison was signed to Seattle's active roster Monday, Logan Reardon of the team's official site reports.
The veteran defensive tackle was elevated from the practice squad for Thursday's win over the Cardinals, and he recorded one tackle in 26 defensive snaps. Harrison has now officially joined the active roster with the team exhausting his temporary promotions the past two weeks. He should continue to fill a rotational role behind Poona Ford and Jarran Reed.

If the report that Mone has a high-ankle sprain proves to be true, it's nearly guaranteed that he'll miss time, opening the door for Harrison to make his season debut. Harrison has toiled on the practice squad for over a month, and Carroll believes he's back into football shape and ready to contribute. He will rotate in behind starters Jarran Reed and Poona Ford.

Coach Pete Carroll notes that Harrison "needed a little time to get in football shape" upon joining the Seahawks' practice squad Oct. 7, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Carroll expanded by stating that Harrison has been working hard to get his body right, adding "when his opportunity comes he'll be ready to go." Pro Football Focus rated Seattle's defensive line as the worst in football entering the 2020 season, incentivizing the team to eventually bring on a 2016 All-Pro in Harrison. The Seahawks defense is ranked eighth best against the run thus far this season but has generated just 1.7 sacks per game.

Damon Harrison: Joins Seahawks' practice squad
Seattle signed Harrison to the practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Harrison had remained a free agent since being released by the Lions back in February, but he'll now join Seattle as an emergency reserve option. The 31-year-old dealt with numerous lower-body injuries in 2019, but he could be provide Seattle with valuable interior depth if he's back to full health.
