Panthers' Ben Jacobs: Out of practice Saturday
Jacobs (undisclosed) is not on the field for Saturday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Jacobs played just one defensive snap during the 2017 season, but he served as a significant special teams player for the club. He should reprise that role for the Panthers in 2018 when healthy.

Panthers' Ben Jacobs: Signed by Panthers
Jacobs was signed by the Panthers on Friday, Max Henson of the team's official site reports.
Jacobs is no stranger in Carolina, having already spent multiple seasons with the team. His return is prompted by the need for depth at inside linebacker while Luke Kuechly deals with concussion issues.
