  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: First touchdown of 2025

Higbee recorded four receptions on four targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Ravens. The Rams had a disjointed offensive showing, as they were out-possessed by a wide margin by the Ravens and were also dealing with a hobbled Puka Nacua (ankle). Higbee stepped up to lead the team in receiving yards while tallying the game-clinching score early in the third quarter on an eight-yard reception. That was Higbee's first touchdown of the season, and Sunday marked only the third time he's recorded multiple catches in a game.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Cleared to face Ravens

Higbee (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Baltimore, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Higbee missed Week 5 and didn't practice Wednesday, but he returned Thursday as a limited participant before upgrading to full Friday. He had just 11 targets on 86 routes over the first four weeks of the season.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Limited Thursday

Higbee (hip) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. This marks Higbee's first on-field work since Week 4 prep, a span in which he sat out last Thursday's loss to the 49ers due to a hip injury. He'll have one more opportunity to get back to all activity Friday, or else risk entering the weekend with a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Baltimore. Colby Parkinson (concussion) also was limited Thursday, leaving the Rams with Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson as their healthy tight ends at the moment.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Taking part in team drills

Higbee (hip) is participating in team drills Thursday, Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News reports. Higbee didn't practice Wednesday after sitting out last Thursday's loss to the 49ers, so his return Thursday marks a significant step in the right direction, though it remains to be seen whether he'll go down as a full or limited participant. If Higbee gains clearance to suit up Sunday against the Ravens, he would likely reclaim the top spot on a tight end depth chart that also includes Davis Allen, Colby Parkinson (concussion) and Terrance Ferguson.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Not practicing yet

Higbee (hip) isn't practicing Wednesday, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Higbee missed last Thursday's loss to the 49ers, opening up more playing time for Davis Allen and Colby Parkinson -- a duo that combined for three targets while each handling route shares below 50 percent. Rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson had a 21-yard reception in the game, but he played just two other snaps.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Officially inactive Thursday

Higbee (hip) is listed as inactive Thursday against the 49ers, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Despite playing through a hip injury this past Sunday versus the Colts, Higbee missed Tuesday's walkthrough and Wednesday's practice due to the same health concern and thus will sit out on a short week between games. Some combination of Davis Allen, Colby Parkinson and rookie second-round pick Terrance Ferguson will man tight end for the Rams in Week 5.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Doubtful for Week 5

Higbee (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Rams, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports. Higbee played through a hip issue this past Sunday against the Colts, earning a 55 percent snap share and hauling in two of five targets for 25 yards. He then was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate and was a DNP at Tuesday's walkthrough due to the same health concern. Now that Higbee is unlikely to play Week 5, Davis Allen, Colby Parkinson and perhaps even rookie second-round pick Terrance Ferguson are poised to handle TE reps Thursday.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Makes pair of catches

Higbee (hip) secured two of five targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 27-20 win against the Colts. The hip injury Higbee suffered Thursday didn't seem to bother the Rams' top tight end, as the veteran enjoyed a season high in targets while seeing his typical usage among the Rams triumvirate of tight ends. Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen combined for just three catches for 17 yards on their three targets, leaving Higbee as the top option at the position for the Rams. That role still doesn't translate to much from a fantasy perspective, although a 49ers defense that allowed Brenton Strange and former Ram Hunter Long to combine for a solid 9-68-1 line is next up for the Rams on a short week.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Garners active status Sunday

Higbee (hip) is active for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Colts, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. The veteran tight end had put in a full session Wednesday before apparently suffering a hip injury in Thursday's practice and then missing Friday's session, an absence head coach Sean McVay termed a veteran rest day. Higbee indeed will be in uniform Sunday and attempt to get more mileage out of his No. 1 tight end role, which thus far this season has only netted a 4-37-0 line on six targets over three games.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Status in question for Sunday

Higbee (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest versus the Colts, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. After Higbee showed up on the injury report Thursday as limited due to a hip issue, coach Sean McVay said Friday that it isn't a concern, and that the tight end was slated for a veteran rest day, per Grosbard. Nevertheless, Higbee's status is worth confirming ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff along with position mate Colby Parkinson (shoulder), who also is listed as questionable.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: On track to play

Rams coach Sean McVay said Friday that Higbee's hip injury isn't a concern, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. It sounds like Higbee may avoid a game designation on the final injury report. He was added to the report Thursday as a limited participant, but McVay isn't worried about the tight end's availability for a matchup with the Colts this Sunday.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Blanked by Eagles

Higbee failed to secure either of his targets during Sunday's 33-26 loss to the Eagles. The veteran tight end has now sandwiched two goose eggs around a four-catch performance Week 2, and while his spot atop the depth chart at tight end seems secure, that role still doesn't appear to have any fantasy value. The only tight end to catch a pass against the Eagles was Davis Allen, who gained just three yards on the play, and Colby Parkinson didn't even see a target aimed his way. No matter the breakdown in usage for the Rams' tight ends, they will continue to remain difficult to trust for fantasy purposes, even with a Colts defense that allowed a generous 5-66-0 receiving line to Chig Okonkwo coming to town next Week 4.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Invisible in victory

Higbee played 35 snaps on offense during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans. For the first time since a Week 9 contest against Green Bay in 2023, the veteran tight end was held without a catch and failed to see even a target from Matthew Stafford. Higbee was on the field most out of the team's tight ends -- 35 of 60 snaps versus 29 for Colby Parkinson (shoulder) and 22 for Davis Allen -- but Parkinson and Allen recorded catches, and Allen scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown in the third quarter. Even with Parkinson suffering a sprained AC joint in the win, it'll be hard to trust Higbee or Allen for fantasy purposes given the amount of attention Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams command in the offense; a Week 2 contest against a Titans defense that held Broncos tight ends in check last week doesn't bode well for a potential rebound, either.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: May be challenged by rookie

The Rams spent a second-round pick on TE Terrance Ferguson, who some scouts have compared to Higbee, per Tyler Greenawalt of Rams Wire. The comparison makes sense if talking about Higbee as a draft prospect back in 2016, at which point he was carrying 249 pounds on a 6-foot-6 frame and mostly valued for pass-catching potential. It doesn't fit as well when discussing the current version of Higbee, listed at 255 pounds and valued for versatility. He's proven capable of taking on significant receiving workloads when needed, including during last season's playoffs, but it's never been something that coach Sean McVay prefers to do. With Ferguson competing for TE snaps and Davante Adams a probable upgrade on Cooper Kupp at wide receiver, Higbee appears unlikely to draw more than four or five targets per game, if that, in 2025. Higbee's bet shot at fantasy value would entail Adams or Puka Nacua missing time while Ferguson fails to earn a role.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Stands out in playoff loss

Higbee caught seven of 10 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-22 NFC divisional-round loss to the Eagles. Higbee continued his strong postseason with a four-yard touchdown catch on the first Rams possession, and he ultimately led the team in catches in the season-ending loss while finishing second in targets behind Puka Nacua (14). The veteran tight end didn't make his season debut until Week 16 after tearing his ACL during last season's playoffs, but Higbee proved that he still has some gas left in the tank at age 32 by racking up 12 catches for 112 yards and a touchdown across two playoff games. He should be back for the final year of his contract with the Rams in 2025.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Ready for divisional round

Higbee (chest) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's divisional-round game in Philadelphia, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Higbee was forced out in the second quarter of Monday's wild-card win versus the Vikings due to a chest injury that required a visit to the hospital. Fortunately for the tight end, he was able to travel back to Los Angeles with his teammates, and he followed up a limited listing Wednesday with a capped session Thursday and a full practice to end the week, thereby clearing him for the second round of the playoffs. Higbee may find the sledding tough Sunday against an Eagles defense that has conceded the fewest YPT (5.71) to opposing TEs this season.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Estimated as limited Wednesday

Higbee (chest) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com, Higbee -- who was hospitalized Monday due to a chest injury that he sustained during the Rams' wild-card win over the Vikings -- subsequently made the trip home with the team. Head coach Sean McVay then said Tuesday that Higbee is expected to be available for Sunday's divisional-round game against the Eagles, though the tight end may need to put in a full practice Thursday or Friday to head into the weekend without a designation.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Likely to play in divisional round

Head coach Sean McVay said that Higbee (chest) has been discharged from an Arizona hospital and is expected to play Sunday in the Rams' divisional-round matchup with the Eagles, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. With five catches for 58 yards on five targets in Monday's 27-9 win over the Vikings in the wild-card round, Higbee finished as the Rams' leading receiver, despite being forced out of the game before the end of the first half due to a chest injury. According to McVay, Higbee was "coughing up a little bit of blood" and was sent to the hospital as a result, but the tight end has seemingly avoided a serious injury. The Rams could still limit Higbee in practice to some extent this week, but the expectation is that he'll be ready to go for Sunday's game with few restrictions, if any.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Hospitalized due to chest injury

Rams coach Sean McVay said after the Rams' wild-card win over Minnesota on Monday that Higbee is in the hospital and in stable condition due to the chest injury he suffered during the matchup, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. While McVay's update suggests Higbee's injury is more than minor, the coach also stated of the tight end, "I think he's going to be okay." At this point, it is unclear if Higbee will be able to suit up in next Sunday's divisional-round clash against the Eagles. If he's unable to play, the Rams would likely deploy a tight-end committee of Colby Parkinson, Hunter Long and Davis Allen. All three logged exactly 13 receiving yards (Allen and Long on one catch apiece and Parkinson on two) following Higbee's exit Monday.

  • Rams' Tyler Higbee: Exits wild-card game due to injury

Higbee is doubtful to return to Monday's wild-card matchup against Minnesota due to a chest injury, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Higbee was outstanding early in the contest, catching all five of his targets for 58 yards. However, he's likely done for the day after suffering a chest injury. The veteran tight end missed most of the campaign due to a knee issue, as he didn't suit up until Week 16. Colby Parkinson, Hunter Long and Davis Allen are the other tight ends on Los Angeles' roster.
