Buccaneers' Troy Hill: Won't return for wild-card game
Hill (foot), who is on IR, has been ruled out for Sunday's wild-card matchup against Washington.
Hill landed on IR in early December due to a foot injury. He had his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday but isn't ready to return to game action. Hill played a meaningful role in Carolina's secondary early in the campaign, but he hasn't logged a defensive snap -- largely due to injuries -- since joining the Buccaneers in mid-November.

Buccaneers' Troy Hill: Could be nearing return
Hill (foot) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The veteran cornerback will now be able to practice with the team and is eligible to be activated to the 53-man roster before Sunday's wild-card game against the Commanders. If he doesn't garner active status versus Washington, Hill would still be eligible to return to action anytime over the next 21 days, if the Buccaneers remain successful in the playoffs.

Hill (foot/knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Hill, who has played just six special-teams snaps since being signed to the Buccaneers' active roster Nov. 18, is now set to miss at least the team's next four games after being placed on IR on Friday. The veteran cornerback will be eligible to return for Tampa Bay's regular-season finale against the Saints on Jan. 5.

Buccaneers' Troy Hill: Won't play Sunday vs. Las Vegas
Hill (foot/knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Hill has played through foot and knee injuries over the Bucs' last two games, but he will be sidelined for Sunday's contest. Hill's absence won't affect Tampa Bay's secondary much, as his snaps have been limited to special teams.

Hill logged a limited practice session Friday after missing the first two sessions of the week. The cornerback joined the Buccaneers' practice squad in October before moving up the active roster in November. After spending the first six games of 2024 with the Panthers, he'll now have a chance to suit up against his former team.
