  • Chiefs' Morris Claiborne: Sits out entire postseason

Claiborne accrued 14 tackles (nine solo) across eight regular-season contests in 2019. He did not make an appearance across three postseason games.

Claiborne missed the first four contests of the season after undergoing surgery on his left wrist last July, and a shoulder injury sustained Week 13 later sidelined him for the rest of the regular season and playoffs. He practiced in full prior to the AFC Championship Game, however, an indication that he's managed to return to full health. During the eight games Claiborne did suit up, he was limited to a depth role in Kansas City's secondary. The 30-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March.

  • Chiefs' Morris Claiborne: Returns to practice Wednesday

Claiborne (shoulder) was a full participant at Friday's practice.

The 29-year-old hasn't seen game action since Week 13 due to the shoulder issue, but he appears on track to be available for the AFC Championship Game. Kendall Fuller should continue handling nickel duties while Claiborne serves as a depth cornerback.

  • Chiefs' Morris Claiborne: Misses practice Wednesday

Claiborne (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday due to non-injury reasons, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Claiborne missed the last four regular-season games due to a shoulder injury, but his absence from Wednesday's practice doesn't appear to be related. The Chiefs practice Thursday and Friday as well, so if he can return in some capacity, it'll be a good sign for his status for Sunday's divisional-round clash against the Texans.

This news isn't surprising considering Claiborne was downgraded to no practice for Friday's session and has missed the last three games while managing the injury. In his stead, Kendall Fuller has been filling in and is expected to continue to do so.
