Reid was waived Tuesday by the Texans, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Reid spent training camp with the Chiefs, but was unable to make it to their final roster. He then inked a deal with the Texans following Week 1, but failed to make much of an impact during his time with the club.

Reid signed with Houston on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
It's unclear whether the team plans to use Reid as a starter. For now, it looks like he'll fill in when needed.

Jah Reid: Released by Chiefs
Reid was released Thursday by the Chiefs.
Reid started 10 games for the Chiefs in 2015, but drew only one start last season after plummeting on the depth chart. He's now set to enter free agency, and his experience should give him a decent chance to enter Week 1 with a roster spot in hand.
