  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Five threes in SL loss

Williams supplied 26 points (9-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Friday's 105-92 Summer League loss to the Bulls. Williams capped off an already promising Summer League showing with a game-high 26 points Friday. He'll look to carry that momentum into a bounce-back sophomore campaign after a disappointing 2024-25 rookie season, when he averaged 4.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 32.3 percent shooting across 21.2 minutes in 50 games (21 starts).

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Scores team-high 23 points in win

Williams finished with 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 86-76 Summer League win against the Wizards. Williams was one of four players for his squad to score in double figures. The Colorado product has now scored 22 or more points in his last two games during the Las Vegas Summer League.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Scores 22 in Summer League

Williams recorded 22 points (8-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three steals during Sunday's 103-93 Summer League loss to the Warriors. Williams put together an impressive all-around performance Sunday, leading the team in scoring, rebounds, steals and tying for a team-high in assists. One area Williams will look to improve as Summer League continues is from beyond the arc, where he has shot just 23.5 percent over his last two contests.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Fares well in win

Williams produced 14 points (5-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 25 minutes in Saturday's 93-89 Summer League win over the 76ers. Williams is coming off an inconsistent rookie year, during which he averaged 4.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 32.3 percent from the field. He missed the end of the campaign after testing positive for mononucleosis, but there were no reported restrictions ahead of Summer League. Minutes won't be much easier to come by in his second season, however, as the Jazz selected Ace Bailey with the No. 5 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Won't suit up Wednesday

Williams (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. The rookie first-round pick will miss his second consecutive contest due to an illness. Brice Sensabaugh and KJ Martin are candidates for an uptick in playing time due to Williams and Lauri Markkanen (knee) being sidelined.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Dealing with illness

Williams is questionable for Monday's game against the Hornets due to illness. The Jazz are already very shorthanded for Monday, so this isn't ideal for the team. In terms of fantasy, Williams hasn't been very effective despite starting nine straight games, averaging 4.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists on 25 percent shooting during that stretch.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Shows promise in loss

Williams posted eight points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Monday's 114-112 loss to the Trail Blazers. The Jazz were without five key players Monday with various day-to-day injuries, allowing Williams to get some much-needed reps. With Utah likely to prioritize player development going forward, Williams will be a name to monitor in deeper formats. He's had a tough season overall, however, shooting 32.2 percent from the field and 23.6 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Could return Saturday

Williams (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Clippers. A left ankle sprain has prevented Williams from playing since Jan. 20. He would stand to see plenty of opportunities if cleared to play Saturday due to the absences of John Collins (rest), Lauri Markkanen (back) and Walker Kessler (shoulder). Williams averaged 4.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 steals over 25.6 minutes per game in his seven outings prior to his ankle injury.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Ruled out for Wednesday

Williams (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Thunder. After exiting Monday's game against the Pelicans in a walking boot, Williams will miss at least one game Wednesday due to a sprained left ankle. The rookie first-rounder's next opportunity to take the court is Saturday against Memphis. With Johnny Juzang (hand) also out against Oklahoma City, rookie big man Kyle Filipowski could be in for a heavy workload for the injury-plagued Jazz.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Draws start Monday

Williams started Monday's game against the Pelicans, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. The team reported prior to tipoff that Kyle Filipowski would draw the start at power forward Monday, but it was Williams who was on the court to open the contest. Filipowski will come off the bench as a result.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Starting Sunday

Williams will start Sunday against the Nets, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Williams will get the start due to numerous key players being sidelined with injuries. • Jazz's Cody Williams: Moving back to bench

Williams isn't starting Monday's game against the Nuggets. Williams drew a rare start Saturday against the Sixers but will rotate back to the bench for Monday's clash. Williams is in the Jazz's starting lineup for Saturday's game against the 76ers, Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints.com reports. Williams will make his eighth start of the regular season Saturday. • Jazz's Cody Williams: Left out of rotation Monday

Williams (coach's decision) didn't appear in Monday's 124-113 loss to the Cavaliers. Williams rejoined the Jazz for Monday's game after a brief stint in the G League but was unable to seize a spot in the rotation, despite Utah being without Keyonte George (ankle) and John Collins (hip). The No. 10 overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft has endured a rough start to his NBA career, having not seen action for the Jazz since Nov. 23 while averaging 3.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.7 minutes over 16 appearances and shooting just 26.9 percent from the field.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Heads to bench Thursday

Williams is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Mavericks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. Williams went scoreless in 15 minutes in the loss to the Suns on Tuesday, and the rookie will be replaced in the starting lineup by another first-year player, Kyle Filipowski. Williams is averaging just 3.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in 10 appearances this season (seven starts).

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Unflattering performance

Williams accumulated zero points (0-2 FG), two assists and one steal across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 loss to Phoenix. Despite continuing to start for the Jazz, Williams has been unable to deliver anything close to meaningful production. Having now started seven straight games following a season-ending injury to Taylor Hendricks, Williams has scored double-digit points just once. With very little to add in terms of peripheral numbers, Williams' short-term outlook is far from rosy.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Minimal output in starting role

Williams produced nine points (3-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 113-96 loss to Sacramento. Williams moved to the starting lineup following the leg injury sustained by Taylor Hendricks on Monday, but the rookie had a rough time in the first start of his NBA career. Williams should eventually improve as the season progresses, and he could see even more usage in the short term if Lauri Markkanen (back) misses time.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Returns to bench

Williams isn't in the starting five for Tuesday's preseason game versus the Kings, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Lauri Markkanen will reclaim his starting spot from Williams after sitting out Utah's previous outing for rest purposes. Williams should continue to function as one of the primary forwards in the team's bench rotation.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Ready for training camp

Williams (illness) will be a full participant in training camp, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Williams missed Utah's Summer League finale with an illness, but his status for camp wasn't in doubt. The No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Williams should be able to compete for a rotation spot right away with the Jazz undergoing a rebuild.

  • Jazz's Cody Williams: Fares well in loss

Williams recorded 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 31 minutes during Monday's 82-70 Summer League loss to the Kings. Williams failed to connect from beyond the arc, but he contributed almost everywhere else, which included a team-high two swats. The No. 10 pick from this year's draft is off to a hot start to Summer League, averaging 17.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 blocks over his first two appearances.
