76ers' Ariel Hukporti: Lands deal with 76ers
Hukporti agreed to a one-year, $3.4 million deal with the 76ers on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The 76ers will add some athletic frontcourt depth behind Joel Embiid and Adem Bona, with Andre Drummond set for unrestricted free agency. Hukporti was used sparingly by the Knicks during the 2025-26 regular season, appearing in 54 games with 2.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 9.2 minutes per contest.

Ariel Hukporti: Reaches free agency
The Knicks will not extend a qualifying offer to Hukporti, Vincent Goodwill of ESPN.com reports Monday.
Hukporti is set to enter unrestricted free agency after spending the first two years of his career with the Knicks. Over 54 regular-season appearances (five starts) in 2025-26, the big man averaged 2.2 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 56.3 percent from the field in 9.2 minutes per showing.

Hukporti saw the floor for a second consecutive contest and ended the 2026 postseason averaging 1.7 points and 3.2 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per tilt across 10 appearances. The 24-year-old big man is set to be a restricted free agent this offseason after playing a limited role in his second campaign. Across 54 regular-season appearances (five starts), Hukporti averaged 2.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per showing.

Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Increased role Sunday
Hukporti closed Sunday's 144-114 victory over the 76ers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with five points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 16 minutes.
Hukporti logged double-digit minutes for just the third time this postseason, taking advantage of the fact that the game was done and dusted early. Although his role is likely to remain very limited, it is worth noting that opposing teams have started to go in the direction of intentionally fouling Mitchell Robinson. Should this continue, Hukporti could be called upon in specific situations, given that he is at least somewhat reliable from the free-throw line.

Hukporti supplied five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes during Monday's 137-98 victory over the 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson got into foul trouble in the first half, allowing Hukporti to see his most playing time of the postseason in a lopsided win. Hukporti has appeared in just four of New York's past seven contests, averaging 2.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 9.3 minutes per game in the 2026 playoffs.

Hukporti finished with eight points (4-4 FG), four rebounds and one assist across 13 minutes during Friday's 112-95 victory over the Raptors.
Hukporti didn't play in New York's' previous two contests heading into Friday night. While the 23-year-old narrowly missed his first double-digit scoring effort since the 132-101 win over the Wizards, it was still an above-average showing. With the Knicks locked into the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, Hukporti might see extended action in Sunday's meeting with the Hornets. However, he likely won't see the floor much (if at all) throughout the postseason, barring injuries to Mitchell Robinson or Karl-Anthony Towns.

Hukporti served as the primary backup behind Karl-Anthony Towns, replacing Mitchell Robinson, who was ruled out as part of his injury management. Hukporti wasn't prolific, but he shot the ball well and racked up five boards along with a swat in just 21 minutes. However, there is no reason to chase him in fantasy outside of very deep formats.
