Orioles' Zach Fruit: Undergoes shoulder surgery
Fruit, who is on the 60-day injured list at Double-A Chesapeake, underwent successful arthroscopic debridement surgery on his right shoulder this week, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
The right-hander has yet to see game action this season and will remain sidelined for the foreseeable future -- likely the rest of the season -- after undergoing the shoulder procedure. Fruit pitched in 12 games (11 starts) for Chesapeake in 2025 and posted a 7.01 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 40:30 K:BB over 43.2 innings.

Orioles' Zach Fruit: Back in action at Double-A
Fruit (lat) struck out a batter and allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk over 4.1 innings Friday after being reinstated from Double-A Chesapeake's 7-day injured list.
Fruit made his first start for Chesapeake in just over three months after he had been sidelined due to a right lat strain. Over four Double-A outings on the season, Fruit owns an 8.03 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 8:7 K:BB in 12.1 innings.

Orioles' Zach Fruit: Shelved at Double-A
Double-A Chesapeake placed Fruit on the 7-day injured list April 23 with a lat strain, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Fruit made waves during spring training by regularly touching triple digits with his fastball, but things unraveled quickly in his first exposure to Double-A. He logged a 10.13 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 7:6 K:BB in eight innings across three starts before landing on the shelf.
